A Tale of Two Cities: Nixie’s Experience with CoolMomTech Launch

There’s something really enthralling about hosting two identically themed parties on totally different sides of the nation. Befitting of a tale of two cities, you can get the scoop on Praneet’s CoolMomTech launch party in New York.

Wednesday night I had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful group of ladies from CoolMomTech.com. In their own words, “Cool Mom Tech is the intersection of tech and style, of parenting, practicality and fabulosity, brought to you by the same moms behind the influential shopping and design site, Cool Mom Picks. Plus a few more who really know their tech stuff.” The party was to celebrate the launch of this neat new site made by moms, for moms.

I was very excited to be a part of this event; it felt like the birth of this cool new site about technology mirrored the birth of the Logitech Revue. For me there was a lot of synergy between both launches, and it really seemed like the attendees felt the same way. There were a lot of smiling faces as I showed these lovely ladies what the Revue could do.

It seems to me that the Cool Mom Tech event highlighted how there is a huge untapped market for the Logitech Revue. Many of the people I spoke with had not heard about the Revue, Google TV, or what the new gadget could allow them to do today.

I was pleasantly surprised at the positive reception the Revue received from those who saw it. After spending several weeks now playing with it, I truly believe that the product is a good one and provides a valuable service to people, and my experience with the great people from Cool Mom Tech only reinforced this belief for me.
