Men’s Day, or Defender of the Fatherland Day, began in the early 1920s, and initially honored the men who served in the armed forces. Over time, the celebration has grown to honor all men, and is observed by more than 200 million people across Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and other European countries.
This popular holiday is a time for women to recognize the men in their life, typically in the form of parades, congratulations and gifts. Do you have a special man in your life? Be it a father, grandfather, son, husband, friend or coworker; why not show him how special he really is by celebrating Men’s day on Feb. 23.
