I’m hoping that you will eventually add the “just for kids” addition to the Netflix UI.

update status please?

May I know when will the update to Google TV be released? It is ridiculous that you’ll have not come up with the update yet. Sony came out with the update almost 2 weeks back. What is the delay about?

We can’t comment on another company’s launch cycle, however we can say that we learned a lot from the initial launch of Logitech Revue, and we’re working to ensure we’re delivering the best possible experience to our current and future Logitech Revue owners.

is there something you need to tell us?
considering the latest news about the revue

I was sad to read that Logitech will not longer develop the Revue. I guess you were a bit ahead of the product development. I would hope a similar product will be be developed in the future. I have a number of Logitech products and have considered your company on the cutting edge of development. I also enjoy my Revue. My question is about the release of the upgrade that has been promised, I would expect that you will still be releasing it, as promised, soon. I would think it would be a disaster not to fulfill that commitment. Would it be possible for you to advise me when it would be available ? I am sure you are being swamped by similar requests, however, it would be remarkable if you were not. Your product is good, with an upgrade even better, but unfortunately, is guess, unprofitable.
Thank you in advance for a “heads up” on the upgrade.

will logitech still be releasing 3.1 update for revue?
Charlie | November 11th, 2011 at 10:14 am
Will the recent announcement that logitech would drop support for the revue affect us the users waiting for the update or will a still get the update a was promised
jm70 | November 11th, 2011 at 11:50 am
Thank you for continuing to post that the update is coming. That is great news. In light of the statements made by Logitech’s CEO, it would be even better if Logitech could immediately put out a statement of some kind addressing what exactly this will mean in the future for current Revue owners. Some key issues to address would be:
* Timeframe for launch of the 3.1 update
* Will the Revue boxes get future updates beyond 3.1
* Will there be any kind of tech support going forward
Thank you.

Who actually pushes the update to the hardware, Google or Logitech?
Will Google be able to distribute future updates to the Revue after Logitech ceases to be involved? I’m about to plunk down my cash and buy the Revue and camera and would like to know if I’m purchasing an orphan that can’t/won’t be updated as GoogleTV gradually gets its act together. Will I be able to install updates to Logitech Vid HD software to the Revue? Will that be automatic? manual? none of the above?

The Logitech Revue is a ‘Great’ product. Please release the update so that I can continue to enjoy my Revue. I still plan to give the Revue as Christmas gifts !!

Why The almost 6 month delay. I think why is a reasonable request-Can we at least get a reason why?

I was sorry to hear today that you are planning to discontinue production of the Revue, I am expecting the Google TV platform to (finally) come into it’s own with the coming update, and with the new low price of the device I think you will see strong demand for the Revue this holiday season and beyond. I for one am very please with the Revue, as I have been by just about every Logitech product I’ve owned over the years.
Now regarding that update… I’m trying to be patient, but it’s getting harder and harder every day.
just food for thought! | November 12th, 2011 at 4:21 am
While I understand that LOGITECH is a business and is worthless without making money. Share holders demand this! Maybe dropping the Revue is what you feel you need to do. Since Android is a Open platform Maybe after your release of the way over do, way over anticipated release of the honeycomb update, that has your costumers in a uproar. You could save face by making available to those that desire, the access into the structure of the revue. so the revue community can build on the platform. XBMC has come wonders in development because the community has made it that way, and is not really that bad as a entertainment platform. Your costumers not being abandoned with a product that is a year old and already a doorstop. Business model 101 cool someone bought your product . Business model 102 Repeat business. How many Revue customers do you honestly believe will be purchasing Logitech products in the future. Logitech will be only as good as the consumers make it. If we stop buying your productswelcome to the 99 percent club get your sign and head to the nearist demonstaration!

The Revue is one of the best products I have ever bought. I enjoy it immensely. Far superior to my Roku XS will ever be. It con controls my TV, STB and AV Receiver all for $99.00. I am happy the way it is whether it gets the update or not. Please don’t abandon the Revue and keep developing it.

Can we get an ETA on the update? We’ve been loyal Logitech customers, and it seems like
Logitech doesn’t care?
Julian Weber | November 13th, 2011 at 3:36 am
We are eagerly waiting to get the Android update on the Revue. The box will gain massively in value through the update. Currently it lacks a lot of flexibility and usuability.

I am an original buyer of this product almost a year ago. I remember last year you guys promised many updates and new functionality. “If you can think it, you can do it” well kinda. I’ve been waiting for updates the whole time I’ve owned this product. I guess I’ll be satisfied when I finally get one. I’ve had lots of fun with it and think the $99.00 for it is about right. I paid too much but it was new and exciting with all of that promise. Please make your promise come true, thanks

What is the part number to get the lasest version of the logitech googletv. and where can I buy it?
Logitech | December 29th, 2011 at 7:29 am
@Ken, The Harmony 3.1 update to the Logitech Revue is a free over-the-air update. To receive it, simply ensure your unit is turned on and connected to the Web, and accept the update that pops up onto your TV screen.
