Logitech UE Participates in Switchfoot Bro-Am Music Festival and Surf Contest

I love my job! This last weekend, I had the opportunity to give the gift of music on behalf of Logitech Ultimate Ears to at-risk and homeless youth in San Diego.

Switchfoot is a very close friend of Logitech UE, and each year Logitech UE supports the band’s annual Switchfoot Bro-Am Music Festival and Surf Contest. Switchfoot started the event eight years ago for the sole purpose of raising money and awareness for the charity StandUp For Kids, a national non-profit organization that aids homeless kids under the age of 18.

Saturday, June 16 was a great day! We interacted with event attendees who live for music and have a heart for supporting homeless kids in their community. Click here to see pictures from the event. I have many personal highlights from the event, such as when we gave each homeless child a pair of Logitech UE earphones, and when we secretly surprised Kim Goodeve, co-executive director of StandUp For Kids, with an additional 400 pairs of Logitech UE earphones to share with StandUp For Kids chapters across the United States.

Check out the video of us telling Kim about her surprise on stage:

What’s more, Kim gave a shout out to Logitech UE from the StandUp For Kids Facebook page. Also, check out last week’s blog post for more information on Logitech UE’s involvement.

Do you know of any charities that give the gift of music? Share with us in the comments, so we can look into more great partnerships.
