Ahh yes, I remember the first time I saw Serj Tankian. He was smiling but kind of crazy and at the same time very serious. Like no front man I had ever seen before. That was for the video “Chop Suey” and I’ve been a fan ever since. Now you can check out his new “Elect The Dead Symphony” CD/DVD. This new release features Serj and the Auckland Philharmonic Symphony performing in New Zealand.
The power of the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra is a perfect match for Tankian’s killer vocals and songs. The symphony performs an orchestral interpretation of his critically acclaimed debut solo album “Elect the Dead” which is also in regular rotation on my iPod.
