Logitech Harmony Delivers the Perfect Gift for Dad Just in Time for Father’s Day!

Harmony introduces new features Dad is sure to love, including added Sonos integration, Amazon Fire TV compatibility, and speech-to-text search

Today, we’re thrilled to share a software update to our latest Harmony remotes.

Harmony customers have been asking to control their SONOS® wireless HiFi System speakers directly from the Harmony remote… and now the wait is over! We’ve listened, and beginning today you can now control your Sonos wireless speakers directly from your Logitech Harmony Ultimate and Logitech Harmony Smart Control. You can control playback and volume directly from the buttons on your remote, and access your Sonos Favorites from the Harmony Ultimate remote’s touch screen or the Harmony App.

In addition, when Amazon recently launched the Amazon Fire TV, there was excitement around its capability to search content through speech-to-text. With this new update, the Harmony App now includes a soft keyboard and voice recognition, making searching for content on your Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku, PC or Mac easier than ever. Through the Harmony App, you can simply bring up the search field in your streaming media app, and use the keyboard on your mobile device to enter text. Tired of typing? Simply tap the microphone icon on your keyboard to dictate your search terms.

Lastly, if you’ve still been thinking about purchasing the Harmony Ultimate or any of our remotes that come with the Harmony Hub, we’ve enhanced the setup process too. During setup, Harmony will automatically detect your Philips Hue lights, Roku, Sonos speakers and other devices on your network, making setup easier than ever before.

To see the Sonos integration in action, tune into our Google Hangout on June 11 at 10 a.m. PT.  To learn more about this great gift for Dad, or to setup your Sonos wireless speakers please visit www.myharmony.com.
