The Great Indoors

Whether you’re in the heart of winter up North, or down South in the peak of a scorching hot summer, extreme weather conditions seem to be inescapable this January. While those in Australia, South America and other areas of the Southern Hemisphere are dashing inside to catch a break from intense heat, chilly Northerners – some experiencing sub-zero temperatures – are snuggling up by the fireplace to avoid the rain and snow. We may be scattered around the globe, but one thing remains the same – we seek comfort from seasonal extremes by heading indoors.

But there’s no need to feel trapped! Logitech has a variety of ways to keep you entertained throughout the season.

First, use the time inside to catch up with a far-away friend – and don’t settle for the phone. Logitech’s new HD Pro Webcam C920 bridges the distance with Full HD 1080p video calling via Skype, and a smoother, sharper, clearer experience thanks to Logitech’s Fluid Crystal Technology. Stay in touch after the call by utilizing the one-click HD upload feature and sharing content on Facebook, Twitter or YouTube.

For those of you working at home, treat yourself to Logitech’s Couch Mouse M515. It’s easy-gliding base works on virtually any surface – couch, bed, floor and some people  have even used it on their cat (pet not included)! The Couch Mouse allows for effortless browsing through Web pages with a single spin. Choose a sleek gray, cool blue or fun, red firework pattern.

Feeling stir crazy? Slip into party mode and pump up the tunes with Logitech’s Wireless Boombox. Pair with an iPad, iPhone, iPod touch or other Bluetooth-enabled device and let the dance party begin. A rechargeable six-hour battery keeps the music alive, and with laser-tuned drivers and four passive radiators, this compact speaker delivers a powerful sound that will quickly have you forgetting why you’re even inside.

What are you doing to pass the time indoors? Let us know in comments!

  • Please, tell us about REAL difference between HD Pro Webcam C920 & C910 ?
May be it is only software & a little bit restyling of exterior ?

Please, tell us also, if the NEW software for HD Pro Webcam C920 can be adapted to C910 ?

    • @Shandr, The big difference between the two cameras is with the C920, you can video call in H.264 for both 720p and 1080p with the appropriate supported Skype Client and CPU utilization is less. The C920 software can be adapted to support the C910, but it specifically designed for the C920 webcam.

  • Adding more details on the C920 software…. The Logitech Webcam Software for c920 (v2.4) provide the same functionalities that the Logitech Webcam Software for c910 (v2.3). The reason we released v2.4 for c920 is to allow to record HD video from c920 (h.264 camera providing h.264 video feed and recording in .mp4 format) and hide unsupported features by c920 vs c910 (video effects at HD720/1080p mode) and motion detection software.
