New: Logitech G35 Surround Sound Headset

For gamers looking to be totally immersed in their game, the Logitech G35 headset offers 7.1 surround sound – a perfect complement to the growing number of action games and high-definition movies that support 7.1-channel surround sound. The headset is powered by second-generation Dolby® Headphone technology. Plus, with its ear-enclosing design, the G35 headset greatly reduces ambient noise from interfering with your entertainment, while an adjustable, noise-canceling microphone focuses on your voice and reduces background noise. In other words, your games will sound awesome and you’ll hear every explosion but you can still hear the phone ring in case you want to pause you game to take a call.

If you use popular chat clients such as Ventrilo or Team Speak, the G35 headset includes three keys on the left earpiece for one-touch command over voice morphing. Additional on-ear audio controls provide quick access to volume, microphone mute and surround sound adjustments. And to ensure your headset remains comfortable during long gaming sessions, the G35 headset features three swappable headbands so you can select the style that fits your head best. We want to make sure you are comfortable for those long gaming marathons. :)

  • This cool new gadget offers pc gamers the opportunity to enjoy an amazing audio experience due to the use of digital Dolby Technology and the built in 7.1 surround sound.

  • All these new toysa re nice and all but, just when will they be released In aus…… theres ZERO info about them atm, damn frustrating

    • Hi Phanda,

Here’s a rough schedule for release dates in Australia:
      - The G13 should be available by the end of February or early March
      - The G35 and G9x should be available in March.
      - The G19 should be available in late April or early May.

      Hope this helps,
      Ruben

  • Sooooo.. When are the Mac OS X 10.5.x drivers coming for the G35?? :P “WoW” plays very nice on any intel mac, and vent works great too.. Soooo those G35′s would be the perfect match, but no OS X support :( Please say you are looking into this..

    • Hi Uplink,

Although we have recently added retrospective mac support for several G-Series keyboards, I’m afraid we don’t currently have a Mac driver planned for the G35 headset. The G35 will work as an outstanding USB audio headset (with mic) without drivers, but unfortunately a dedicated driver will need to be written before the other special features (Dolby 7.1, G-keys , voice-morphing) can work on a Mac.

      Cheers, Ruben

  • The G35 seems like an epic headset but I’m concerned about support for various audio APIs such as EAX2 and OpenAL? I play plenty of PC games but their support for various audio technologies means I will need a pretty universal solution to enjoy these games to the fullest. Will the G35 be able to support all of them? If so, you’ll have me sold in a heartbeat.

    • Hi Jake – Thanks, \”epic\” is the word! I\’m lucky enough to be using a G35 – and my (expensive) Sennheisers are now gathering dust!

To answer your question, yes, I believe that this is the universal solution you are looking for. The G35 is compatible with all common audio APIs used by game developers, including OpenAL and DirectSound. EAX is actually a set of proprietary hardware-resident libraries which the G35 does not have, however, for years now, games that include support for EAX also support one of these open APIs, so G35 won\’t miss a beat with surround sound playback. You\’ll get great quality, high-def, positional audio.

      Cheers,
      Ruben

  • Hey, I know u mentioned the release dates for Australia are they the same for U.S. as well?
Also, do you have a more specific date rather then just March?

My headset just broke and this product looks awesome, I’d really like to wait on it but if its not coming until late late March then i don’t know if i’d be able to wait.

    • Hi D-Roc,

It’s looking like the G35 will be available in the U.S. in early April.

      Cheers, Ruben

  • i tried to buy this from amazon.com and it said that it was gonna ship in a month. is this product not out yet or what? the website just lists it, and it looks like it’s available.

    • Hi graig,

I posted an answer about this on Feb. 23, but am happy to answer again — it will be available in the U.S. in early April.

      Cheers, Ruben

  • Hi Ruben,

When will the Logitech G35 Gaming headset be available in South East Asia? Specifically, Singapore.

    Thank you.

  • Looks great, probably gonna buy this as soon as it comes out.
Any news on europe release dates (holland to be exact)? hopefully this month.
    also,
is the difference between 5.1 and 7.1 big? it sounds like a big difference but im wondering how much more you can actually hear?
    Thanks.

    • Hi Jan,
In terms of your question about 5.1 vs. 7.1 — Movies and games with Dolby 7.1 add an additional two “rear surround” sound channels over a 5.1 sound track to allow the director/producer to create additional discrete sound effects, and thus create a more immersive experience for the listener. The G35 models each of the discrete sound channels with the acoustic properties of the relevant speaker and feeds the 7 modelled speakers ( the “.1? is the subwoofer, or Low Frequency) into the two headphone channels to recreate the individual effects that the sound engineer put into the original mix. Is 7.1 it a big difference compared to 5.1? Well, that depends on the game/movie. However 5.1 or 7.1, if the effects are there, the G35 can reproduce them.

  • Do you folks expect any further delay for the US release? I hope the headset will be available early March and not the end of it since it wasn’t specified. I was almost heartbroken when I saw the delay. Still waiting for the green light :)

  • @ Ruben Mookerjee, Thank you Thank you Thank you, i have been looking for G-series release dates for aus for about an hour now and you have em WD… :)

  • “Hi Draco,

The G35 will be available in early May in the U.K.

    Cheers, Ruben”

Im guessing may for spain too….I just hope it doesnt get delayed more, i was hoping for the march release date…but then again, I’ll wait for a well finished and well tested product any day.

Thanx for the feedback Ruben, gotta love logitech..

  • Can you post anymore fun experience you’re having Ruben? Some more teasing would be fun :P Honestly!

The software for the voice morphing, how is it like?

  • Ruben, will the g35 be available in stores like best buy at the release date or will it hit online first and then work its way out?

  • If you guys tried out the Plantronics Gamecom 777 headset which features Dolby Headphone 5.1 then the G35 is a lmost the same with 7.1 The positional audio is subtle in Dolby headphone. I would say wait for the Razer Megalodon to try it out first. Also, Psyko 5.1 headset gonna be available in April which won CES 2009 Best Innovation award.

    • Hi Jin,

An important distinction between the G35 and the competition is the G35 processes all 5 or 7 discrete channels of audio, using all the positional data to reproduce the surround-sound experience in the headset. The Plantronics GameCom 777, on the other hand, only receives a stereo, 2-channel signal (regardless of what the game or movie can output) and then simulates two surround channels and a center channel. The G35 can do this as well with stereo content. I have not compared the G35 with the latest Razer headset, however, here’s a recent review by someone who has.

      Cheers,
      Ruben

  • Having used various logitech products over the years and being VERY pleased with each one of them I was VERY disppointed to learn that these headphones are USB. I realise USB is a very versatile format but when it comes to audio it does not hold up. I will often be doing file transfers to and from various USB storage devices while listening to music or playing a game and from my knowledge of USB this is certain to impact on the sudio quality of the headphones. I understand you may have been trying to keep things simple and just have 1 plug for audio, mic and control buttons but I’d rather not sacrifice my audio quality for simplicity. Another problem is for those people that have high end sound cards, these headphones are essentialy useless to them. A better solution would have been to have the regular 3.5mm jacks for audio and mic and a USB connection for the controls and just have it bound into 1 cable and split out at the end to plug into the computer, this would maintain audio quality when the USB is being used for any large data transfers and make it able to utilise high end audio equipment.

Sadly this is one logitech product I will not be purchasing.

    • Hi Jason,

I’m sorry that the G35 won’t be the headset for you, and I understand your perspective. I also consider myself a bit of an audiophile, and your concerns were foremost in our minds during development. The primary focus was on creating an excellent sounding circumaural headset – and our success in that has been reported in the recent press coverage of the G35. Personally, I have been very satisfied that the G35/USB audio performance is at least as good the speakers and high-end soundcard on my own gaming rig, and superior to my previous analog headphones in that same sound card. And as well as the convenience factor that you mention, the USB architecture was needed for the Dolby Headphone 7.1 technology.

      Cheers,
      Ruben

  • Regarding the USB connection,
Hi I am always looking for the best in components for my computer. My recent need for a set of headphone (twin boys) brought me to find the highest quality headphones I could find. I did some research and purchased Tritton™ AXPRO 5.1 surround sound headphones. I must admit I was happy when they arrived. After hooking up the USB cord the Optical cords, the TWO power supply cords, plugging those cords into their decoder, and plugging the headphones into the decoder, I looked at the giant nest which I made on my desk. I was blown away that any company would make such a ridiculous setup; I packaged all the wires back in the box and returned it to Costco.
So I am more than happy to see that Logitech is using a single USB cord. After having been through the recent disappointment of the corded mess, Logitech once again has shown their innovation by making a user-friendly set of headphones.
    Way to go Logitech
    Billy

  • We’re in the latter part of March now and I was wondering when in the world is this headset coming out?? Any update on the release date for U.S.? Many thanks.

I’m very close to just jumping on the razer bandwagon, pls hurry!

  • It’s been said that the release will be early April
“It’s looking like the G35 will be available in the U.S. in early April.”

Does seem to be that way since there are more websites doing reviews lately. I can’t wait either! Been waiting without a headset since January for launch :D

  • Reviews i have only read one atm i would like to read some more Plus i thought this was coming out in march in Australia. I lituraly can not wait for this one to come out!!! Plus people have been saying that because its usb the sound wont be as good as one that goes direct into the sound card?

  • I’m very excited to (hopefully) see the G35 hitting the stores soon! That said, I was wondering if you would be kind enough to tell us about your driver necessity and policy for this product. As a G15, G13 (and soon to be G19) user, one reason I continue to purchase Logitech G-series products is the apparent commitment to open source drivers – I love that a SDK comes along with the G-series keyboards so that users can make their own applications, and it is easy to port their usage to other operating systems.

Having read that the G35 will absolutely require Logitech drivers, I’m a little concerned – many USB headsets at least show up as a stereo USB audio device without specific drivers. Will the G35 work under Linux? Will there be a SDK involved that will provide some, if not all the features for Linux use? Would you be able to tell us what audio hardware is found in the G35?

Again, I thank you for your commitment to free software in the past, and hope it continues with the G35! If so, it is a sure purchase from me!

    • Hi Blackstone,

The G35 headset will enumerate as a USB Headset if it is plugged into a PC without the Logitech driver software installed, and it will show up as an audio device and operate as a headphone/mic as you would expect. However, without the Logitech software installed, you will lose the advanced features of the G35 (Dolby Headphone 7.1, voice morphing, mic mute, G-button functions, etc.).
I’m afraid we don’t have formal plans to support Linux with G35 today, but our philosophy with all of the G-Series products is to enable upgrades over the product lifetime. We will certainly consider your request for G35 Linux support in our software development discussions. Thanks for your positive feedback on the other user SDKs we’ve released – as a result, there are some outstanding community-created applications available for the G-Series products, and we will continue to strive to deliver tools to our users that will help make current (and future) products even better.

      Cheers,
      Ruben

  • Update on US Release Date?

I just broke my headphones – don’t lose my sell! Release now :)
    Thanks

  • Would also like an update. My old headset has been broke over 1.5 months. Waiting for these but I can’t stand using my Ipod ear piece anymore. I may go back and buy speaker and deal with the wife yelling at me to turn it down again.

  • Hello,
earlier on you mentioned that the Logitech G35 headset would be available in March to Australians. Today it is April 1st in Australia and I am unable to find any online stores selling them. I am curious as to whether the release was delayed for some reason. I myself am a gamer and my current headset has just about had it and I am in need of a new headset. I have been watching the G35 headset for some time now and I believe it’s just what I need in a headset so I’m hoping I will be able to buy one for a decent price.

    Thanks in advance.

    • Hi Blackout,
The G35 should be on store shelves in Australia in 2-3 weeks. Likely retail stores include JB Hi-fi, Dick Smith, Electronics Boutique, and Harvey Norman.
      Cheers, Ruben

  • At this point I would accept an April Fools joke saying it was released today. Just knowing someone responded to the constant questions asking for release date would make me happy.

Throw us a bone….Something …After all we are willing to spend 100+ on a pair of headsets in this day of economic downturn/layoffs/etc.

I think we deserve it. Please logitech.

    • Hi Martin,

I’m pulling availability information and will update you tomorrow. Thanks for your patience.

      Cheers, Ruben

    • Update re: availability in the U.S.:
      Logitech.com: Late next week
      Amazon.com: Week of April 13
Best Buy: Second half of May

      Update re: availability in Canada:
Online in the second half of May

      Cheers, Ruben

    • Martin, I have confirmation that the G35 should be available throughout Europe in late May/early June. Still waiting on more info for the U.S.
      Cheers, Ruben

  • I have confirmation that the G35 should be available throughout Europe in late May/early June

    OMG!!! this is bad :(

  • Hi Ruben,

Those delay in release dates are more than disappointing. I ordered the G35 already with an expected shipment date of March 27th, now it’s (still) standing on April 10th.
But i read in this blog that it will be available in Europe (Netherlands) not earlier than May / June. This is bad ;-( !

Is there any (good) reason for these delay or is this marketing at work in (over)hyping a product?

  • Got today the message from the retailer that the expected delivery date is postponed to May 13th.

    I think i want to cry …

  • Well, today is the end of the week, an nothing yet. Maybe next week? Or is it it being delayed even longer?

  • Arf …… logitech just could advise their potential clients about when it will be released…..
It was march, april and now at the middle of may …. and we are quite sure that it will be at the end of june with the razer megalodon….
They don’t communicate and don’t care about their clients …. shame but it’s logitech !

But i am still waiting for this product ;) even the don’t care about us and just selling …. shame a second time or it will be a senheiser 350 ……

  • Yeah it is the end of the week, still waiting!!!

The webpage for the G35 says “Notify Me”, but if you click on Find Retailers, it will show that Logitech.com has it in stock. Upon clicking the “Buy Now!” button I’m sent back to the main Logitech page.

  • I would venture to say that this is evidence of why companies don’t put out release dates. Its rather disappointing. I have been checking the site several times a day to see when they would be for sale, since it was posted that it would be “late this week”.

Seams like they could have posted something about the delay by now.

  • They have no plans to release it before July 2023. They’re just trying to keep that carrot insight so you don’t buy something else in the mean time.

  • So, is there any updates to report concerning a release date? I’ve got mine on pre-order from Amazon.

  • All, thank you VERY much for your patience. I can now confirm that the G35 is available in the U.S. on logitech.com.

    Cheers, Ruben

  • yes it is on logitech.com..interesting it is listed at $99.99. Do you have any info on when it will hit in-store retailers like best buy in the US?

    Thanx.

  • Ruben, thanks! Got my on order. Went hog wild and took 2day shipping. Woo Hooo! Can’t wait, that will be 2 days with very little sleep .

  • Thanks for letting us know, I have literally been checking the Logitech site a few times a day since you let us know it would be late last week. The e*Bay pre-orderupdate is telling people Logitech pushed back release until late May – I was planning to go pick something else up tonight and give up on the G35, despite my high hopes for it. Just in the nick of time to save my sale.

I will pretty much choose Logitech over any other company when it comes to PC peripherals, they are well-made, have thoughtful functions and everything always works as advertised. No, I don’t work for the company, I’m just a fussy shopper who’s happy you guys saved my sale at, literally, the final hour.

Now, any dirt on what the hold-up was? Squeuzing in some last-minute improvements?

  • I’m going to have to guess quality-control and mass production of this rather unique headset. So glad it’s out and ordered it ASAP. For those asking about when it’ll be in Best Buy, Ruben posted a comment a page back.

  • So just to be clear:

Logitech now allows us to buy the G35. Does that mean its a pre-order or will it be shipped when purchased? Has anyone who bought one through Logitech gotten their headsets yet?

  • Ordered mine on 13th, as of tonight current status is:

    Order Date: 04/13/09 15:55:42
    Order Status: Order in Process

    Anyone showing shipped yet?

  • Any idea on when it’ll be on the logitech.com site for Canada? Or available from amazon.com, as they offer shipping to Canada

    • Hi Nate,

It should be available online in Canada in the second half of May.

      Cheers, Ruben

  • To SCE_Sobek:

I ordered mine early on the 13th and so far no order status update. It still says “Order in Process.” My credit card also shows a charge for the headset that is pending. I haven’t gotten any shipment notifications so as far as I know I just placed a pre-order although that was never stated anywhere during the ordering process.

To Logitech: Is there any reason why you aren’t shipping the units yet? I didn’t pay extra for shipping to have my order just sit there processing; I expect some form of expediting on the processing portion of the transaction as well.

  • I ordered mine on Monday as well, with 2 day delivery. Still showing:

    Order Date: 04/13/09 16:51:56
    Order Status: Order in Process

When I placed the order, it said it would ship the next business day. Making me wonder if they really have them in hand yet. Guess I just have to wait it out now….

  • Yep, ordered mine on the 13th as well and still says order in process… Read the email, it says it’ll ship next day if in stock.. But if you read under “shipping and rates” on the site itself it says it may take up to 3 days to ship items… Which leads me to believe it’s not in stock? Or Logitech is playing a cruel joke by publishing it as released and getting us to pay for it and wait? Though can’t complain too much since even with next day air or two day air, can’t beat the price.

  • I order mine on the 14th as well, and I have yet to see an order update/anything other than “order in process”

If this thing doesn’t ship by tomorrow I expect my expedited shipping charge to given back to me. I am starting to get disappointed in logitech. If anything, just shoot me an email explaining the truth why they haven’t shipped. That’s all I really want, is an honest company.

    • Hi Jacob (and all of those who have ordered the G35),

I’m looking into what’s going on with shipping and will get back to you today.

      Cheers, Ruben

  • thank you Ruben,

I think the hardest part about this is the fact that it is such a cool product, and we are eager to receive and play with it.

  • As an update to everyone:

My G35 is currently “Out for delivery” via UPS. It appears that the issue with shipping was actually that Logitech doesn’t update its website often, so it didn’t show a status update until today. I ordered mine Monday night, and according to UPS tracking, it shipped out Tuesday afternoon with an expected delivery of today. So have some patience everyone!

Thanks for keeping us updated Ruben. To avoid angry customers, I would suggest that logitech update the status more often, as I didn’t get confirmation of shipping until about 18 hours after it occurred.

  • I ordered mine early afternoon as soon as it was available and still hasn’t changed the status from “Order Status: Order in Process”. Expedited shipping soon.

  • Well, gave them a call, since I ordered it Monday afternoon. With 2 day shipping selected, it should be here by next Monday latest. Apparently, they have until Friday to ship out the G35 for those of us that have a status of “Order in Process”. Not sure when the cut off time for their shipping department was on Monday, but I seem to have missed it, and I ordered my G35 at around 3pm EST. So, keep checking until Friday to see if your status has changed!

  • Just thought I’d add my situation to the pile. Order on April 13 in the afternoon and my status as of writing this also says “Order in Process.”

Hopefully this is a “slow updating Logitech” page and it actually went out already.

  • I ordered mine @ 4pm on Monday and Logitech just sent me an email saying it had been shipped. The tracking had already been updated, so I think this just verifies the “slow updating.”

  • Hello all — got an update from our distribution center. Please know that a lot of effort has gone into tracking the status of these orders today and we are committed to shipping these as quickly as possible. As a matter of fact, unless the UPS driver’s truck is hit by a tornado, all of your orders should leave the distribution center today (and in some cases, earlier)!!!

Again, thank you for your patience.

    Cheers, Ruben

  • When will the G35 be available in the Netherlands?
Because I wanted to buy it from amazone.com, but they don’t ship the G35 to the Netherlands.

  • My order shipped last night :). My “mission objective” was to get it before the weekend. It is scheduled to be here on Friday, so mission success.

Thanks Ruben, and to the shipping department :)

Now, the big question is, do I want to take Friday afternoon off and sit in the driveway waiting for it

  • Any idea when this will be available from other distributors, i.e. Amazon? Just trying to decide if I want to cancel my order with them and reorder here.

Thanks for keeping us posted Ruben, it’s very much appreciated!

  • Look at the other page of comments guys.

  • Well, it most likely would have been accurate but lets just assume the people dealing with the website backend we’re not available at the time. They even had the price of the headset below the MSRP. For all we know, Amazon could have the headset available tomorrow.

  • Ordered on Tuesday April 13th with Next Day Afternoon shipping and they JUST ARRIVED. Literally minutes ago. Unboxed and enjoying them as I type. I love these headphones and am considering destroying my 5.1 setup for my computer.

    Woot for Logitech!

Wonder if I’m the first to get mine.

  • Hello there,

Also I’m wondering when it will be available in The Netherlands. Will it be half of may or is it possible you can get it sooner from internet shops?

    Kind regards,

    Benjamin.

  • hi nizama,

can u plz tellme how much u paid for that.

hows the headset, I hope it wud be AWESOME.

  • they are priced at $129.99…the $99.99 price glitch might just have been error from logitech using a template for the update or something from like the g9 mouse.

Hope to see some real world reviews soon,,.maybe even some youtube vids =)

  • Just to follow up my previous post. I order on Monday, second day delivery. Shortly after my earlier post (above Wednesday, April 15th, 2009 at 3:28 pm), it was shipped, and UPS tracking says it’s out for delivery at this moment (i.e., to my house).

Confirms Ruben’s comment above about them all getting out on Wednesday.

  • 4 calls to UPS, bit of waiting outside and some luck….headset is here! Boy was it worth the wait. It is VERY comfortable and covers my ears nicely. Only thing I’ve not had a chance to fix was the Ventrilo push-to-talk command. Configuration shows Ventrilo 3.0.5 but the latest I can find and have is 3.0.4. No big deal though.

  • Well, I got mine, and I am rather disappointed. The overall quality is great! and the Dolby works amazingly well. However, in the game that I wanted them for, the Dolby feature has a major problem. Note that other games may not have the same issue, this is what I play and wanted the headphones for.

In the game I am playing, City of Heroes, there are oscillating sounds which denote the location of key objects. These sounds, which are in many cases the only way to find the object, are reduced by the Dolby to a point that when I stand next to the object, it can barely be heard. I have spent several hours verify this and testing possible “adjustments”

The Dolby features seam to work great other than this on instance. However, this is a situation that will not allow me to use Dolby in the the game 90% of the time. Which defeats having G35s. If I disable the surround sound, I hear them clearly from several rooms away. I switch Dolby on at that same location, the sound is gone.

I have tried various audio combination, but the only way I can get the key sound when not standing 10 feet from it is to disable the Dolby :(.

I have a ticket open with Technical Support, so I will post back when I find out what they have to say.

    • Hi gamer,

Thanks for reporting the CoH issue – and I’m sorry to hear of your initial disappointment. Our software-development team is checking out the issue. We’ll get back to you — so you can once more hear your glowies in all their pulsating glory :-)

      Cheers, Ruben

  • 4/18/09 and still no date for availability through US Amazon as was promised

    Sigh

Maby they are too popular and they can’t stock them at retailers yet?

    • Hi CJ,

We shipped the units to Amazon on Thursday so look for them any day now.

      Cheers, Ruben

  • It is april 19th and the only store that is selling this headset is the logitech us site…..i’m in canada why can’t i order it off the american site? its what like 10 bucks extra to ship to canada? I’m sick of these delays, amazon has yet to release this…. How can I buy this headset….

  • Hi Ruben,

Good to see some personal attention from Logitech. Much better than an anonimous vague anouncement on a website. I think that’s why you’ve been asked so many questions about the availablity of the G35 for different parts of the world.
I myself feel the need to express my digrundlement about the poor communciation on this matter. I’ve already ordered the G35 two times (at different stores) in the Netherlands past few weeks. And both times the expected delivery date moved by more than 4 weeks(!) the day after I should have recieved the order. And off course the shop keepers all point their finger at Logitech…
So please keep this in mind for feature product releases. Give us accurate release dates please.

  • Hear, Hear,

    Hi Ruben.

I have the same experience as Ray. And i concur.
Nothing more frustrating than moving delivery dates. And there is only one party to blame …

Is there already a reliable release date available for the Netherlands.
(instead of second part of may, first part of june)

    Best regards,

    René

  • Hi Ruben,

Would Just Like An Update On The Release In Australia, When Should They Be Expected On Shelves?

    Cheers.

  • Hey mate, it’s 22nd of april and g35’s aren’t in australia yet…. My current headset is almost dead, i play call of duty 4/5 competively and NEED the headset asap. When are they arriving in stores to Australia?!

  • Hi Ruben,
The same bad experience is appened to me with a US seller on eBay (although i’m in Italy) that gave the official Logitech release date on 04/12 and 2 days before he moved the date to 05/21 :S…
39 days are so much and now i’m waiting this headset with so frustration

  • Ruben,

Thanks…looking forward to hearing back. I have a high level of confidence in Logitech :) [ I have G15, G9, G5, and MX518,2 Revolutions, 2 USB headsets from Logitech and a Harmony Remote] and I don’t give up easy. I play on running more “tests” this weekend to see what I can do from my end.

  • Hi There,
i’m waiting for my G35 for 5-6 weeks. Is there any date announced when its available in Europe (Germany) ? I have already paid and dont want to get fooled…
    regards, Mr. T

  • Got them last friday from the logitech store.

Love them! Great fit, great sound!

    Thanks Logitech.

  • Does anybody know when this headset is coming out in Australia??!!

Would really like to get this one for my shoutcasting / radio work!

come on logitech hook the aussies up with this great gear!

  • they obviously don’t know when they come out in australia? I seriously need a headset asap, much longer and i’ll go get some sennheiser’s

    • Hi Chase,

Sorry for the delay. The G35 should be hitting shelves in Australia at the end of this month.

      Thanks for your patience,
      Ruben

  • Hi,
i didn’t find any date when it will be finaly released in Germany.

None of the stores that I asked had any idea when the G35 will be available here and the internet is very quite.
    Can you tell me more?

    Greetings from Germany
    A big Logitechfan

P.S.: The G19 and G13 (which are finally available in Germany) are fking great guys. The only thing I need now is my G35 Headset.

    • Hi Bene,

The G35 should be available in Europe at the very end of May.

      Cheers, Ruben

  • Went to purchase these on your website and they are listed as ‘out of stock’. Any news on when you’ll have some more?

    • Hi Ryan,

Are you in the U.S.? They show up as available on Logitech.com when I look.

      Cheers, Ruben

  • Hello Ruben.

Still a little unsure, are the G35′s hitting the shelves in australia yet? After checking Ebay and Amazon and finding only one hit for the search i was pretty sure there were going to be delays. I know you’ve answered this question before but i’ll pose it anyways.

When will Australia be recieving the G35′s? Been a while since i’ve had a high quality pair of headphones and im looking forward to it.

    Thanks in Advance.

  • I thought that I would follow up on my City Of Heroes issue with the G35. After working with Logitech tech support, turns the issue is with the audio stream from City of Heroes, and not the G35. I have now tested it with several other games/applications, with GREAT success.

What is amazing, is that the people that I talked with are in the process of working with City of Heroes to see if they can fix the issue. Now that is OUTSTANDING support.

Thanks Ruben! And way to go Logitech!

  • May 1st now….. Still not avaliable from any US retailers or Amazon…. I may have to get a Logitech account after all, only thing is I hate having my credit information on more sites than I have to :(

  • Thanks for that info Ruben.

Guess I kinda have to thank Logitech, too. Now I can focus on my graduation :)

Can’t wait to get a pair.

    Keep on rocking, cya :)

  • Dear Logitech, my husband and I love you all. We can’t find any company that does computer gaming accessories anywhere near Logitech in innovation, quality, prices, and so on.

Are all international releases for G35 Headset (outside of the USA; Europe, Canada, etc) all planned release for end of May? Will they be sent to TigerDirect.CA, Amazon.CA, etc upon international release? What’s the deal? If you can we want a sooner release!! <3 GO CANADA!!

  • The G35 should be available in Europe at the very end of May.

    I hope you ‘re right
because i wait 2 months for it

  • I know that it is released in Europe at the end of May. Does this include all international releases, like Canada?

  • Ruben,

I checked again and tried to order. Under the ‘ In Stock’ column for the G35 it showed ‘Out of Stock’ in gray lettering just as before. I figured you knew what you were talking about and ordered. Now Logitech emailed me saying they are back ordered…after withdrawing the money from my account of course.

    • Hi Ryan,

We\’ve sold through our inventory but have replacements arriving the week of May 22. In terms of your concern about a charge being placed on your credit card, I just wanted to clarify that we pre-authorize, but the actual charge against your account is not completed until the item is available for shipment.

      Cheers, Ruben

  • @ Ryan

Thanks for posting the info. Now I know not to order from them either.

I can’t believe they would charge your account for a back ordered product that states it is “in stock”

    Can Logitech not be trusted????

  • I see that they are for sale in US… but on the site it says they are available in Office Depot, Best Buy, Radio Shack, Staples… I checked all these stores websites and the only one with any record of them is Best Buy and they are back ordered 2+ week wait time.. now lol I am a very impatient person and when I see something that i want I hate having to order them online. Is there any store to buy them at?

    Thanks, Taylor

  • Also… I just looked on Amazon and it says this Item has not yet been released. Um, I thought it did in the US? Grrrr ‘;…;’

    • Hi Taylor (and all those of you in the U.S. still waiting to purchase the G35),

The units that we shipped to Amazon went to fill all of their pre-orders and they are now sold out. The next shipment arrives at our distribution center the week of May 22 and we\’ll be shipping to Amazon as well as other retailers that week.

      Cheers, Ruben

  • Hi Ruben,

do you have information about the release in Europe or more specifically Germany? I would love to order one of these but the shops either can’t tell a release date or promised “end of month” in april and now the do the same in may. I don’t trust them…..

    Cheers and thanks in advance,
    Ruben

  • Its ok ruben, i couldn’t wait that long. So i bought a pair off ebay. From a guy who buys them from amazon and sells to Australians.

Pretty compfy earphones, I had a little go at trying to use the headphones for push to talk but it didn’t work, anyway it’s much easier to use the alt key for push to talk because your hands still on the keyboard. The g1,g2 and g3 buttons are best for play/pause, next track, etc, while in game so you don’t have to alt+tab out to listen to music.

They are the sexiest things i have ever seen, the quality is amazing. They smell awesome because of the leather too.

I have had them a couple of days and need to get used to the sound but from what i can tell, they have extremely good sound for fps gaming. I actually do hear people before i see them now and you can predict things better.Great bass and sound quality for music. Pretty funny voices too, giant sounds like darth vader, mouse sounds like 6 year old girl.

Has impressed me as much as my G9 did.
Very worth the wait if you have a pair of headphones you can use untill you get the G35′s.

    A++

  • Oh, I think saying “I don’t trust them….” was confusing. I meant the shops and not the product ;-). Ordering from the US is no option. At the moment strange things are going on at the german customs and orders from the states take an average delivery time from two months to infinite.

Will have to wait till the G35 is released locally. But when will that be?

    Ruben

  • Hi Ruben G
    Let me answer for Ruben^^

I ordered a pair from Amazon Germany and I got an email this morning telling me that they will ship them to me around 3-6 June.
That around the time Ruben told me…

I guess we have to wait a month^^

    Now in german:
Also wie gesagt… Amazon hat mir heute morgen eine Email geschckt in der drin stand dass ich das G35 zwischen dem 3 und 6 Juni erhalte…
Also noch ein Monat (nicht mehr ganz) Ich freue mich auch schon drauf :P

    Cya guys^^

  • Hey Ruben! :)

Hello, Im just wondering when this product will be in Canada. Ive seen some of your other replies for other countries, it being May 22nd. Just curious if this is the same date for Canada. My old headset just isnt cutting it, stereo speakers :/

    Thanks,
    Alex

  • Welp, my G35′s arrived today -guess Bestbuy got some early?. I’m impressed with the overall quality of design and early sound monitoring but realised a little too late about the USB only connection which almost renders the headphones useless to me.

Rather, the headphones are perfectly useful, but is eliminiates use of the TST Buttkicker under my chair. Since the USB only connection doesn’t allow for any splitting of audio, there is no way to feed any to the Buttkicker.

So unless there is some way to split off USB audio or simultaneously run two sources of audio (headphones and card or onboard) then i’ll unfortunately have to return these lovely cans.

Any ideas? i’ve been googling and experimenting all day but have come up short. Best luck i had was to start a game, tab-out and then select another audio source. It worked, but only with newly launched programs while the game stuck to the G35′s, which makes sense. Any thoughts would be appreciated, i’d love to keep my G35′s but…

    • dDub,

It\’s great to hear you\’re enjoying your new G35. I\’m not certain if there is a solution that allows you to use G35 with other audio devices simultaneously. This capability is not built into Windows. I\’m aware of a product called Virtual Audio Cables (VAC) (http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.html), but I have not tried it myself. VAC includes audio repeating capabilities that may allow you to route the same audio to multiple audio devices. Again, I don\’t have any experience with VAC, so I definitely recommend investigating before downloading and trying it. This discussion may help you figure out if VAC does what you want it to do.

      Cheers, Ruben

  • I’m just curious if these will be released in Canada at the end of May also. Every peripheral i’ve ever used has been logitech, and I love the look of these. Also, reading up on all of it’s features, I’d love to get my hands on these..

  • Ruben, thanks for the VAC Suggestion. It’ seems to be a very useful too. However, the best i can get audio to both my Buttkicker and the G35′s is with a 100ms delay, which is almost unnoticeable, however there is a lot of popping and crackling. For some reason the Audio Repeater program included with VAC that does all the magic can only repeat the Mic input from the headset. If it could stream the other audio as well it would be ideal compared to the other config with VAC since i could just bypass the delay…

anyways, thanks again for the response. I really like the G35′s and haven’t given up just yet, but it’s not looking good :(

  • I was wondering, I live in Iceland and I really wan’t to buy these headphones but I can’t due to problem with shipping address… what’s up with that ?

  • Hi Ruben,

    Got mine today already (Netherlands).

Quite a pleasant surprise. I’m impressed with the sound and the quality of the mike, and the cool design ;-)
Keep testing for the next couple of days.

    Regards,

    René

  • Hi Ruben,

Watched a movie on my notebook yesterday. Awesome with the surround sound!

After day 1 i got the first question for Logitech.

Is there (or will there be) an applet for the G15/G19 keyboard available regarding the G35.
It might be easy to see the current G35 settings on the panel.

    dolby surround on/off
    voice morphing on/off
    mike on/off
    volume

    Regards,

    René

  • Hello Ruben,

The big question still remains i guess… when will the G35 be available in the EU?? i cant buy it anywhere in the Netherlands yet :( and UK amazone wont allow me to import it!

    thanks

    regards,

    Calder

  • Just got this today, and i have to say… that it is the BEST headset i have ever had!
The sound is just awesome, so is the voice morphing.

In games this is really helpfull, you can really hear things coming before you see them!

  • hi there,

i just got my g35 headset…and when i try to use the cable managment from my g15 keyboard….i see that the wire of the g35 is too thick to fit into the cable managment of the g15….

  • Is there a set release date for these headphones in the UK or is it different for each retailer? On Play.com they said that they were released on the 8th of June and that they are now in stock, however, on Scan.co.uk they say they are released on June 26th?

    • Hi Scrooby,

Availability varies by retailer reset dates and inventory levels. Sorry that I can\’t be more detailed.

      Cheers, Ruben

  • Greetings,

The Canadian release seems to have been pushed back since I still can’t purchase the G35 headphones online. Is there an expected date of release in Canada? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    • Hi chickenium,

I\’m looking into this and apologize for the wait.

      Cheers, Ruben

  • So any update for use canucks? i’m about to drive down to the states to get this…………. please save me the gas money

  • For the Canadians who want to buy this product, Dell.ca has them for sale. I just ordered mine from them.

    Cheers!

  • The G35 are fantastic !!! But i think one problem is on the program for the g35….. you don’t have soo many to choise program for the G-keys….. you can’t put to g-keys teamspeak 2 or ventrilo 2.3 or put a shortcut :S

any update for the program? any last version with this for the g-keys?

    thx

  • Hi,
I have read through all your comments and various problems, but what I’m experiencing is a bit different….I think!
I get a crackling, scratching sound from my G35 – only when sounds are played.
If I fx. play the Windows default sounds I can hear the sounds but they are not “clean” and crisp. If I play the “Microsoft Sam” default message I can certainly hear what he’s saying but again not clean.
I know it’s not a hardware issue as I tried the G35 on my laptop – even without installing any software/drivers. There all sound are crisp.
I spoke with Logitech local support and they couldn’t offer much help. They asked med to un-install all software & drivers and get the newest from the web – but to no avail.
I also tried to wiggle the cable/usb connection to see if it was a bad connection.

    Any ideas ?

    • Hi Allan,

I\’m sorry to hear about your OS audio issue. Our customer support experts on the Logitech Support Forums are best suited to help you. I recommend posting the same information you\’ve written here along with your OS version and basic computer specs for each computer.

      Cheers, Ruben

  • Many thanks for replying Ruben.
The day before I was going to return the headset and ask for my money back I tried to disconnect my table speakers and connected the G35 again…….It worked like a charm :-)
Afterwards I re-connected the speakers again and the G35 still worked.
I haven’t installed any drivers/software yet, but all functions are working. I’m so relieved.
Thanks for the link to the Support Forums and thank you for a fantastic product. Next purchase will be the G19.

  • Hi,

The voice morphing for my G35 doesnt work. I tried it with the G keys and with selecting the voice my self in the program, but it doesnt work. I still get my voice without the voice morphing.

I’ve never had any problems with the voice morphing, till now.

    Cheers

    • Hi Robert,

Definitely get in touch with customer support. They should be able to assist you (www.logitech.com/support).

      Cheers, Ruben

  • I have the Logitech G35′s, boutht them about 2 weeks ago. I was initally impressed with them and still sort of am. For some reason I get massive ammounts of crackling noises and sound when I use them now. I have tried contacting support and they say that support is not available, which is very bad on logitech’s part.

Does anyone here know why my headsets might be crackling etc? Maybe it is some kind of setting somewhere?

  • Hallo all
I got a problem with my Logitech G35 . I bought it yesterday and the normal sondthings work like hearing music and stuff like this ! When i want to play there is also sound but if i connect in a map (in Battlefield 1942) i have a sound bug !
I can’t hear anything because every sound comes often after and after !
So is there a problem with my headset or is it a problem of the game ??
    I thank you

  • I’ve got my G35 yesterday and I’ve got the crackling sound too.. I’m running Vista 64x & it seems that everyone running 64x has the same problem. I hope Logitech fix this really soon.

  • I have a G35 and I was wanting to know If you can set it up like the G15 to see people that are in your team speak, is there a download that I need to be able to do that with. ?

  • Hi guys. I got my g35 headphones today and i really enjoyed. I was messing with the g keys and everything works well. But when i put the g keys on ventrilo command 1, 2 or 3 nothing happens. I searched every where to see what they were for and couldn’t find it. Can someone please tell me what they do? thx
