Where is that remote?

There few things more frustrating than scouring your whole house to find a lost remote. According to our Global Remote Control Trends Study, nearly half of all living rooms globally have four or more remotes. With so many remotes to keep track of, it’s easy to forget where we put them, not to mention easy to blame on others when they disappear.

In our survey, we asked thousands of people around the world about the places they have found their lost remote and some of the answers were surprising:

  • 49% found the remote in the couch
  • 8% found it in the bathroom
  • 8% in a dresser drawer
  • 4% in the fridge/freezer
  • 2% have found the remote outside or all the way out in the car

Tell us in the comments where you’ve lost and found the remote before! And in case you didn’t know, it’s easy to consolidate the multiple remotes you have sitting on the coffee table by replacing them with one Logitech Harmony Universal Remote.

  • I’d bet that the fridge/freezer situation is for people with kids. At least, I’d hope it is.

As for myself, I can honestly say I’ve never lost a remote, ever. They all stay in a drawer out the way, and my Harmony remote is always on my desk. 🙂
