Logitech Honored with Seventeen iF Design Awards and Twenty-Five Red Dot Awards for Outstanding Design

Logitech is proud to announce seventeen iF Design and twenty-five Red Dot Product Design award wins in 2023, up from last year’s four awards and fifteen awards, respectively. We’re thrilled at this continued recognition by the broader design community and will continue to make sure our passion for design excellence shines through in everything that we do.

“This is truly a full design team effort that couldn’t be done without the support of all our partners across the company,” says Adam Schettle, Logitech’s Head of Design for Disciplines and Systems.

Here are four products that we feel truly encapsulate what we strive for at Logitech Design, all of which were awarded both iF Design and Red Dot Product Design awards:

Logitech Aurora Collection

G735 Wireless Headset, G715 Wireless Gaming Keyboard, G705 Gaming Mouse

Logitech’s Aurora Collection is a set of gender-inclusive peripherals stylized with an ethereal, dreamy aesthetic and built for unmatched comfort with gaming-grade performance. With comprehensive ergonomics designed for all head and hand sizes — along with plush, breathable materials — Aurora is truly a product built with everyone in mind.

“Through Aurora, we were really able to create a design language where people felt seen and identified. That was the most impactful thing for us to see in the product’s reception.” — Tania Alvarez Moreno, Head of UX at Logitech G

Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel & Pedals

The Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel was co-developed with and for professional simulation drivers on PC, Xbox, and Playstation. Its Direct Drive and TRUEFORCE feedback technology offer less latency and higher fidelity, ensuring a pure and precise connection to the race. The product also includes an extensively tested Pro “thumbsweep” button layout, plus magnetic gear-shift paddles, dual clutch paddles, and easy mounting.

“I’m incredibly proud of the team’s accomplishment in designing the Logitech G Pro Racing Wheel and Pedals. Winning these two awards is a great recognition of our efforts to create an immersive and authentic racing experience for gamers.” — David Day, Distinguished Industrial Designer

Logitech Lift Ergonomic Mouse

Lift, a best-selling member of Logitech’s Ergonomic series, is a vertical mouse that is designed for all-day comfort and built for small-to-medium sized hands, with a left-handed version available to ensure it’s inclusive of as many users as possible. Its form factor puts less pressure on the wrist by placing users in a “natural handshake position”, offering a calm upper body and relaxed grip.

“Throughout the project we realized that we created something that seemed to resonate with people. We’re really proud to be bringing approachable ergonomics to more people — these awards are a true recognition of the whole team’s passion and dedication!” — Tanyel Yalazoglu, Lead Industrial Designer

Logitech G Cloud

Logitech’s first cloud-based, hand-held gaming device, G Cloud is capable of graphics up to 1080p/60FPS and compatible with Xbox, NVidia GeForce NOW, and Steam Link, offering a vast library of AAA titles in a one-of-a-kind portable package. Its ergonomic design is meant to maximize comfort and intimacy, allowing you to enjoy your favorite games anytime and anywhere.

“With the G Cloud, we’ve designed a new kind of gaming experience that is cloud-based and handheld. Using a design philosophy of ‘defined softness’, we focused on great ergonomics, minimal aesthetics and personal immersion — so gamers can engage in their favorite AAA titles from the comfort of their sofa, armchair, or bed.” — Ingve Holmung, Sr. Design Director

Logitech Blue Sona

Blue Sona delivers high-quality dynamic sounds to any creative space using several innovative technologies designed to minimize key clicks, hum, vibration, computer fan noise, and other distractions. Its customizable, modern aesthetic looks great on camera while tone-shaping controls and Pro XLR connection ensure every broadcast sounds stunning.

“Our goal with Blue Sona was to design a studio quality dynamic microphone in a beautifully honed, compact form factor that is easy to understand and can be customized to complement a streamer’s unique personality and be part of any creative environment.” — Ted Renwick, Design Lead

Logitech Pen

Logitech Pen is a rechargeable USI stylus that enables students to write, draw, and annotate with exceptional accuracy on USI-enabled Chromebooks. Built in collaboration with students and educators, it allows for a natural writing experience with the fluidity of pen and paper — and was designed to fit and support several different hand sizes and levels of motor skill development.

“It’s humbling to see Logitech Pen so well-received by the larger design community and even more so by students in classrooms. The idea was to go beyond making a ‘better stylus’ and introduce a device that harkens to an elevated analog experience of writing, preparing students for paradigm shifts in learning and content while still anchoring them in something familiar.” — Jalen Igbeare, Industrial Designer

Launched in 1959 by iF Industrie Forum Design e.V., the iF Design Product Design Award is a prestigious symbol of outstanding design that attracts a diverse, international group of both up-and-coming designers and design veterans. This year, the iF jury judged over 10,000 entries from fifty-six countries across nine disciplines, including UX, UI, and Product Design.

Organized by Red Dot GmbH & Co. KG, the Red Dot Design Award is an international design competition judged by expert juries in the areas of Product Design, Brands & Communication Design, and Design Concepts. For over sixty years, it has been one of the most coveted honors in the design industry, judged by a panel of experts and drawing thousands of applicants annually from around the world.
