“Ok Google, Ask Harmony to Turn On ESPN!”

If you own a Google Home, here’s some exciting news for you! Starting today, Logitech Harmony hub-based remotes now work with the Google Assistant on Google Home, expanding voice control to your favorite living room devices.

Any Logitech Harmony hub-based product including Harmony Elite, Harmony Companion, and Harmony Hub works with the Google Assistant on Google Home by allowing you to easily power on the TV, control the volume, or change channels simply by using your voice. You can also activate your favorite Harmony activity, turn on smart lighting, or control up to 270,000 other devices supported by the Logitech Harmony platform.

It all starts with a simple request: “Ok Google, ask Harmony to…”

  • “…turn on ESPN, ABC News or the Discovery Channel.”- Any of your favorite channels set up in a Harmony account can be triggered using your voice.
  • “…turn up the volume.” – Ask Harmony to turn up or down the volume, and specify a value between one to 20.
  • “…turn on Hulu or HBO GO.” – Popular apps installed on your Roku player can be launched with your voice.
  • “…turn on ‘Good Morning’.”- When you set up an activity such as “Good Morning” in your Harmony account, you can set Philips Hue lights to warm colors, turn on a Nest thermostat, and play music from your living room speakers, all by using your voice.
