As reported on ComputerAndVideoGames.com, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is Facebook’s 8th biggest global topic in 2011, flanked by the death of Amy Winehouse and the beginning of military operations in Libya. The game’s popularity with fans earned it $775 million globally in its first five days of availability – breaking movie box office, book and game sale records.

The Verge reported that Xbox Live’s highly anticipated Fall 2011 Dashboard Update – rolling out sometime this week – features a Metro-style UI, expanded Kinect voice controls, integrated Facebook sharing and more. Along with a number of upgraded apps, the new dashboard comes with 511 MB of cloud storage and new entertainment options such as live TV and streaming movies and music. Track the latest here.

Finally, according to PCMag.com, Rockstar Games will release iPhone 4S and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 versions of Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Year Anniversary Edition. Starting on Dec. 15, customers can get the game for $4.99 from the App Store and Android Market.
