Introducing Logitech Alert for Small Business

Last summer we introduced our Logitech Alert™ HD digital video system that helps you watch over the people and places that are most important to you. Today, I am happy to introduce Logitech’s HD video and audio security solutions for small businesses: the Logitech Alert™ B700i PoE Camera and Logitech Alert™ B700e PoE Outdoor Camera.

The Logitech Alert PoE system features Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity, helping small business owners monitor their cash register, storage rooms, warehouse or front desk anytime, anywhere, inside or outside with crisp HD video and rich audio. The cameras include a smart HD camera, a built-in microphone, professional-grade wall mounts, powerful PC software, and free live remote viewing on a PC, Mac® or smartphone app for iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ or Blackberry™.

Setup is simple – just install the Logitech Alert software and connect the system to your existing networking infrastructure using standard 48V PoE. From there, the Logitech Alert PoE cameras record motion-based events with the camera’s built-in DVR (Digital Video Recorder), capturing only motion-triggered events. You can manage up to six cameras per location, and each camera comes equipped with a 2GB MicroSD card – storing up to 800 15-second video clips, and automatically backing the videos up on your PC hard drive when the PC is on.

So, how will you use Logitech Alert to keep an eye on your business?

  • Hi, I wonder if the 315i or Anywhere are suitable for busking. Carrying a boombox around is a heavy, cumbersome and arm destroying excercise :). Can you connect a microphone into any of these? Definitely need a power-free option so battery life is important as is sound quality, it’s for classical singing.

    • Unfortunately these speakers do not have microphone support so they would not work for busking.
