Calling all Karaoke fans, holiday carolers, aspiring singers, and would-be entertainers… we’re only half-way through the Logitech Hi-Def Holiday Karaoke contest on Facebook and while there are some really solid video submissions, there are no clear front runners so please don’t wait and submit your holiday karaoke video TODAY! There is a pile of Logitech goodies worth $1,000 and $5,000 in cash up for grabs.
A few reminders…
1) Use of copyright protected material is prohibited – Videos that include copyright protected material (lyrics and/or music) are ineligible to win, and they cannot be selected as a finalist. So please record a karaoke video using the songs provided in the app, other holiday songs in the public domain, or be creative and write your own holiday ditty.
2) HD videos are encouraged – If you have a Logitech HD webcam, click on the “Upload an original video” option within the Facebook app. This option allows you to upload HD videos at any resolution up to 1080p. With this option, we provide you with the music and lyrics for download so you can record your HD karaoke DIY style or you can record your own original tune. An HD video will help give you a leg up on the competition by making your performance even more brilliant. If you don’t have an HD webcam, you can get one here.
3) Campaign for votes – No matter how amazing your performance is, you need the votes to secure one of the five finalist spots. We make it easy to share your video and campaign for votes with friends and followers on Facebook, Twitter, and via email. Even if you already shared your video once after you recorded it, you can come back to the app and share it again and again because your friends can come back and keep voting for you every day.
And don’t forget to have fun… Karaoke isn’t about who has the best voice, it’s about the performance! So get into the holiday spirit and enter.
