Did you know that you can add a personal slide show to your life’s soundtrack by installing Flickr on your Squeezebox Radio, Squeezebox Touch (available in December) or Squeezebox Duet? With the new Flickr app, you can view photos of family and friends or change things up by accessing Flickr’s vast online gallery for an always revolving screen saver. Simply go to the ‘App Gallery’, select ‘Photo Services’ and install Flickr.

With the new Squeezebox Radio, we’ve launched more than just a cool new piece of hardware. We also launched an entirely new software and Web interface!

A few changes of note:

1. MySqueezebox.com
With a clean new look and feel, Mysqueezebox.com (formerly called SqueezeNetwork) lets you manage player settings, music-service accounts and favorites. You can also directly access the community forums and customer support.

2. App Gallery and My Apps on mysqueezebox.com
The App Gallery gives you the freedom to choose exactly which services you want to see on your Squeezebox player menus – reducing menu clutter and allowing you to get to the content you want more quickly. Whether you want to access Facebook, Flickr or Pandora, there’s an app for you.

3. Faster, simpler setup for all Squeezebox Wi-Fi music players
Account setup is now done directly on the player. Simply follow the on-screen instructions on your player to complete setup. If you’d like to listen to your personal music collection, continue to mysqueezebox.com once you’ve finished setup and download the Squeezebox Server software.

4. New player menus
Existing Squeezebox users may also notice that some of your player menus have changed. We’ve eliminated the Music Services category and introduced the App Gallery and My Apps. Go the App Gallery to see the entire list of music and other services. If you have previously entered login credentials for a service, you don’t need to do a thing — just go to My Apps and select the service you want to use.

If you are using Windows 7 RC, please understand that we don’t provide technical support for pre-release software, although most Logitech products will work with the current Windows 7 RC without any action on your part. We look forward to providing support with the offical launch of Windows 7 in October.

Since its introduction in the Logitech VX Nano mouse almost two years ago, Logitech’s nano-reciever has become quite popular. In fact, in response to all the positive feedback we’ve received, we’ve added this feature to a number of our mice, including the V550 Nano and V450 Nano. When plugged into a laptop, the nano-receiver is nearly flush against the notebook – protruding just 8 mm from the edge of the computer – so you don’t have to hassle with unplugging and plugging in the receiver for fear that it will snap off during transport. And despite its small size, the nano-receiver supports robust wireless performance, offering a 2.4 GHz connection for great wireless freedom.

If for some reason you do want to unplug your receiver, our nano mice offer a convenient storage compartment inside the body of the mouse. As an added bonus, inserting the receiver into its storage compartment triggers the Power Off switch.
