Hi, I’m Seth Schulte and I’m responsible for driving the software experience and integrating Internet services for the Squeezebox line of products. When I’m not thinking about ways to make the Squeezebox easier to use or scoping out the latest music services, I like to check out all kinds of live music at the many great venues around the Bay Area.

With the new Squeezebox Radio, we’ve launched more than just a cool new piece of hardware. We also launched an entirely new software and Web interface!

A few changes of note:

1.	MySqueezebox.com
With a clean new look and feel, Mysqueezebox.com (formerly called SqueezeNetwork) lets you manage player settings, music-service accounts and favorites. You can also directly access the community forums and customer support.

2.	App Gallery and My Apps on mysqueezebox.com
The App Gallery gives you the freedom to choose exactly which services you want to see on your Squeezebox player menus – reducing menu clutter and allowing you to get to the content you want more quickly. Whether you want to access Facebook, Flickr or Pandora, there’s an app for you.

3. Faster, simpler setup for all Squeezebox Wi-Fi music players
Account setup is now done directly on the player. Simply follow the on-screen instructions on your player to complete setup. If you’d like to listen to your personal music collection, continue to mysqueezebox.com once you’ve finished setup and download the Squeezebox Server software.

4.	New player menus
Existing Squeezebox users may also notice that some of your player menus have changed. We’ve eliminated the Music Services category and introduced the App Gallery and My Apps. Go the App Gallery to see the entire list of music and other services. If you have previously entered login credentials for a service, you don’t need to do a thing — just go to My Apps and select the service you want to use.

We hope you find that these changes make getting to the music you love easier than ever before.

As the Senior Manager of Business Development for the gaming group at Logitech, I had the pleasure of attending the GDC Europe and Gamescom in Cologne, Germany last week. Cologne is a vibrant city sitting on the Rhine River in western part of the country. Gamescom was an immense show, held in four large public halls and two business halls! The show was expected to host over 200,000 attendees and it seemed like they eclipsed that number easily.

Some of the highlights for me were…

The demo of Star Wars: The Old Republic. I was intrigued by how the choice driven model that BioWare is famous for will play out in a MMOG. I, like many, have played several of their previous games and come to a critical decision point and saved the game before moving forward. I am very interested to see how this game develops.

Need For Speed: SHIFT looked amazing. EA was running a competition in which the winner was eligible to win a BMW M3. Sadly it wasn’t the 1,000 horse power one pictured below. Actually, since I didn’t win maybe that’s a good thing or I’d be really depressed!

StarCraft 2. I loved the original StarCraft and the next version looks even better. This is an amazing game and I can’t wait until it comes out.

Activision’s DJ Hero looks like it is going to be a blast. I can imagine people enjoying a party with the music being provided by playing DJ Hero. I took a turn on the turntable and had a lot of fun, but I don’t think I’ll quit my day job.

Going to these shows is already so much fun because I get to do good business while checking out the newest game titles and technologies. Unfortunately, like the rest of you, I have to wait for these hot tiles to hit the shelves

Ahhh, Warped Tour, my favorite season each year. What’s that you say? Warped Tour isn’t a season…summer is? Well, for me and thousands of other kids, summer = Warped Tour. It’s as simple as that.

Ultimate Ears and Logitech have a long standing history of getting out to shows and mixing it up with all the fun that is Warped Tour. This year is the 15th anniversary of the tour, so if you’ve never been to one, you really need to get there, as it’s basically my generation’s version of a Grateful Dead concert. The music and people come together to form a community of goodness.

As is often the case, I headed out to the start of the tour this summer to meet up with all the artists and take care of their Ultimate Ears needs. We take impressions onsite, answer questions and let people listen to demos. I also tell jokes, take bands to dinner and listen to lots of awesome music. This year, I was super excited for NOFX, Anti-Flag, Less than Jake, Underoath, Saosin, Outernational and Bad Religion. I also got to meet new bands like TAT and Therefore I Am. Really, there’s something for everyone, with music ranging from punk to ska to crunk (I think?).

Ultimate Ears even took the extra step of bringing out a bus on tour this year. It’s where all the coolest people hang out – or at least that’s what I tell my friends. Either way, we’re having a blast on tour. If you want to learn more, check out the Warped Tour Web site, and, if you find yourself at a show, track down the pit reporter Tiffany Mink (@minkus on Twitter) and tell her Logitech sent you. She’ll buy you lunch!
