Do you work across multiple devices every day, switching between your laptop, tablet, smartphone or desktop? Don’t lose momentum, and start maintaining productivity with the new rechargeable Logitech Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810.
Announced today, the Logitech Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810 features Logitech’s easy-switch Bluetooth technology, meaning it can pair with as many as three devices simultaneously. What’s more, the keyboard’s layout was designed for Windows 8 with shortcuts for instant access to the Start Screen and more, but it also works with Windows, iOS and Android devices. You can easily move form typing on one to the other with the push of a button.
The keyboard has a real brushed aluminum design with sleek lines so it looks good next to all your devices, regardless if you’re working on a Windows PC, Apple iPhone or Android tablet. Its backlit keys automatically adjust to the light in your room, ensuring its laser key characters are always sharp and easy to read. And it uses built-in sensors to detect your hands’ approach, turning on and off to save power.
It recharges through USB and can recharge even while you type.
The Logitech Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810 is sure to boost your productivity – letting you switch between all the devices you type on. And with clean lines, bright keys, and simple charging, it’s a keyboard you can easily take anywhere. It’s available later this month, so pick it up and let us know what you think
Is it Bluetooth only, or does it also work via USB?
For example, I need a wireless keyboard to connect to a Laptop, Tablet & TV. While the first two have Bluetooth built-in, the TV only accepts USB-Keyboards – and I doubt that any common USB-Bluetooth dongle would work.
Maybe Logitech should offer USB-Bluetooth dongles that can be paired using a PC, which then present themselves as USB-Keyboards when plugged into other machines, as an accessory to this keyboard.
What are the physical Specifications (H,W,D) of the keyboard and will this be made available for sale in Australia?
Sounds really good! Can you elaborate how ‘charging while typing’ does work? This means it will charge without being connected to USB?
Hi there! You will be able to continue to type on your keyboard even while its charging through the USB cable.
What about a Mouse combo for this keyboard?
Hi Juan. Thanks for your suggestion, but we cannot comment on future products at the moment. Please keep an eye on our blog and website for updates.
Great work!! I can easily go with that one!
How about bundling this K810 keyboard with the newly announced Touch Mouse T620 both in Bluetooth flavors??
It would be a great upgrade of my aged Logitech Revolution and Mouse and Keyboard (both Bluetooth).
Only thing missing from the keyboard are the shortcuts for the charm menu buttons,(that now comes as standard to all new Microsoft keyboards) but is not that big of a deal for me as I assume the F1-F12 buttons will be programmable.
Thank you! We appreciate your feedback and will pass this along to our team.
Is there an option to turn off the backlighting? if yes, how long do you think will it extend the life span of the battery? Just asking because my Apple Bluetooth keyboard lasts me months and this new keyboard interests me.
Yes, you can dim the backlighting with the F5 key. To turn the backlighting back on, you can either press the F6 key or turn the keyboard off and back on. If the backlighting is turned off, the keyboard battery life is expected to last about 8 months, but this varies based on usage.
Any plans for a version including a num pad? That would make it an excellent device to sit on the lap and operate a PC from across the room (for gaming or media centre use).
We can’t comment on future plans, but we will pass your suggestion on to our team. Thank you.
Will it be able to switch back and forth between the 3 devices with a switch of key combination? Like a KVM? This would be even nicer with a touch Pad on the side. 😀
You do not mention the Mac. I would be looking to switch between a Windows PC and a MacBook. Is that possible?
Yes, the keyboard supports Windows and iOS.
Yeah, sounds really good!
But will there be a possibility to connect it to ‘normal’, not having Bluetooth, Computers?
Maybe a wire which can be used?
Looks like Logitech is taking an ever close step the ideal keyboard I would like to buy.
As a current user of the K750 Solar and the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard, I always wished that Logitech will utilize their best technology to make the best product.
Wish there was a wireless illuminated keyboard, with number pad, with solar charging and used unity wireless.
We appreciate your feedback and will be sure to pass on your input to our team.
Since this uses bluetooth, does that mean it is compatible with the Sony PS3?
You mentioned in a previous comment post that you support a macbook but you said iOS. Do you support iOS and OS X or just iOS?
Looking forward to this keyboard !
I work from home and use the same display for both my laptop for work and my desktop computer for personal use. I will finally be able to use one keyboard and not have to plug, unplug into the computer i’m using ! great news !
One question,
my desktop and laptop does not support Bluetooth, will the keyboard come with two Bluetooth adapters ?
Hi Mathieu, the keyboard does not come with Bluetooth adapters.
any price point on this?
The Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810 is priced at $99.99, Mohammad.
Anyone know if this keyboard will work on OS X?
Hi Joel, the Logitech Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810 works with Windows 7 and 8, iOS, and Android devices. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you.
Is there a Mouse with multi machine capabilities?
Hi Peter. You can check out all the mice we offer here: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/mice-pointers/mice
When will this be available internationally?
I’d like to buy it, or at least preorder it but I can’t in Australia.
Might have to look elsewhere if I can’t buy it in a timely fashion (Anything over a month later IS NOT timely)
Hi Seth, unfortunately we don’t have an exact date yet. We will keep you updated!
Will it have ‘feet’ to raise the keyboard in the rear?
Does K810 enter Mother board UEFI Bios.
So this will work with iPads (iOS), but will not support Apple computers running Mountain Lion, Lion, or Snow Leopard? (OSx)
Hi Phil, this will work with Apple computers, iPads and iPhones using iOS 4.0 or later.
will it include keyboard profiles? Depending on the connected device, they keyboard can switch profiles to suit the device attached. Since this is likely going to be used with tablets, pc’s and phones, this would be an excellent feature.
The keyboard features Logitech’s easy-switch Bluetooth technology so you can easily type on and switch among your PC, tablet or smartphone with one touch. All you have to do is press the Bluetooth key that is associated with the device you wish to use!
also, when is the expected release date?
The Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810 should ship in the upcoming months. You can check out our website for product releases and shipping announcements! http://www.logitech.com/en-us/home
Hello, I am a long term user of Logitech products.
Would be interested to own a K810 keyboard if it if it would have a numeric pad included.
Is there a keyboard with this feature to be released in near feature?
With regards, Moshe.
Hi Moshe. Thanks for being a fan of our products. Unfortunately, we cannot comment on future releases at the moment. Please stay tuned for updates.
Hi, I’ve been looking for a multi-pairing capable, thin, bluetooth keyboard with slide on-off switch, and I think this is it. Plus backlit keys. Very nice.
1. Does it come with a carrying pouch or a cover? If not, I’ll have to ‘custom sew’ it myself!
2. Does it automatically recognize the operating system? I mean do we NOT have to remap the control, windows, alt keys to command, control, option keys.
3. Does it come in iOS keyboard layout? or do we have an option to replace keycaps?
It would be absolutely fascinating if it automatically recognizes the operating system AND display “ctrl, windows, alt” or “control, option, command” alternatively depending on the OSs connected.
Hi, we’re so glad you like it! We do not have a pouch for it, and we’re sure you can make a great one! Yes, it will recognize the system, and the layout comes specifically for Windows 8. Hope this helps!
How many button are programmable ?
Has K810 shipped ?
Where can one buy it please ?
Hi Charlie, you can order the K810 from our website. Here’s the link: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/keyboards/keyboards/bluetooth-illuminated-keyboard-k810
Where are the Home, End, Page Up and Page Down keys?
Hi, about iOS compatibility, are there a “home” and a “lock screen” buttons?
This keyboard works with iOS devices. You can press the F11 button to reach the iOS Home Screen and press Function + Escape for the iOS Lock Screen.
Just picked up the K810 from BestBuy. I am using it on a Windows 7 machine, a Mac Mini (OS X Lion 10.7.5), and an iPad (iOS 6). It works great across all 3 and allowed me to unclutter my desk and keyboard tray quite a bit.
I’m looking forward to a bluetooth mouse that switches with/through the K810.
This is basically a very cool bluetooth keyboard and KVM combined. Thank you so much for creating it!
Hi Glen, we’re glad you like your new keyboard. Thank you for your support!
What are the dimensions? Since it has Android as a purpose, I suspect that it is small & compact. Possibly with smaller then standard keys. I was not able to find these specs online.
Hi, the dimensions of the K810 are (L x W x H) 290 mm x 128 mm x 14 mm and it weighs 339 g. Hope this helps!
Nice looking keyboard.
Only drawback…No numeric keypad!
Bean counters and number crunchers will avoid this one!
Does the K810 have the Mac special keys like option, cmd, etc? I don’t see them in the picture, yet it’s said this is Mac compatible?
Are there two different models of the K810?
Hi Mike, there is only one model at the moment. You can find the specs here: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/keyboards/keyboards/bluetooth-illuminated-keyboard-k810
Will this keyboard support “True Boot” like the DiNovo does? That is will it allow you to enter and control the BIOS on a PC? If not would this allow you to enter a password into PGP whole disk encryption at boot?
Hi Mark, we invite you to check our community forums for help from other customers who have used the product. http://forums.logitech.com/. Thank you.
How many keys are programmable on windows 7 ?
Hi, we invite you to call our support line and they will be able to assist you. The number is +1 866-571-5644.
Any idea when in November the 810 will be available in Europe (specifically the Netherlands)? I really, really, really want one. 🙂
Hi Eric, unfortunately we do not have a specific date at the moment. But you can pre-order the keyboard from our website. http://www.logitech.com/nl-nl/keyboards/keyboards/bluetooth-illuminated-keyboard-k810
After installing Setpoint that came with the new 810 Illuminated bluetooth keyboard, my MX 518 mouse is no longer recognized. If I try to install the previous version of Setpoint that I was using, it says I can’t. What can I do about this as I was using the older setpoint to adjust sensitivities and assign keys to the side buttons of my MX518.
Hi there, Manny. We apologize for the issue. Please get in touch with our Support Team at +1 646-454-3200 to talk with a representative who can help with this. Thank you.
I resolved it by not installing the new Setpoint. The keyboard still works with the older Setpoint even though Im missing a few minor features.
Another issue I discovered is that I can’t get into my PC’s BIOS when botting up. Since there is no bluetooth connection when the computer starts booting up, I’m unable to press DEL, which is what activates entry into BIOS. I figured Logitech would know this and make the charging cable a direct connection from the 810 to the computer, bypassing the bluetooth requirement. But it seems you didn’t. So if I need to enter BIOS, I have to use a hardwired keyboard.
When will this be available in Japan? Can’t find any information on the japanese website
Hi Vikram. We’re looking into this and will get back to you shortly. Thanks for your patience.
Since i’d most likely use this between a mac and pc, i didnt see it in the pictures but will it or does it have the mac charaters for like option etc on it?
Thanks for the question Jeff. We recommend you call customer support at 1 646-454-3200 so they can provide you with an answer. Alternatively, you can visit our community forum to see what other customers have to say. Here is the link: http://forums.logitech.com/.
Please,
Numpad!
I, as a professional in music and graphics need it in alsmost ANY apllication.
Would buy it right away.
Thanks
Thank you for your feedback, we’ll pass this along to our product team.
Hi,
Is there the ITA layout also?
Do you have a uk release date for k810 keyboard yet? I have pre ordered one.
Hi Peter, it will be released in Europe this month. Check out the Logitech website for updates.
Hi,
I just bought the new K810 keyboard. Great item!
I paired it with my PC (Windows 7) without problems. Then I paired it with my iPad, here it also went straight through except for the keyboard letters that, despite being defined QWERTZ on my iPad settings, writes like AZERTY. So anytime I type a “Q” I get an “A” instead.
Do you know how can I fix this issue?
Many thanks!
Gabriele
Hi there, Gabriele. We apologize for the issue you’re having. Please contact our Customer Support so they can assist you. They can be reached at 1 646-454-3200. Thanks.
Hi guys,
I’m from Switzerland but used to the US international layout.
Unfortunately when I want to select a keyboard with this layout on the Swiss webpage of Logitech, it is missing.
Is there any way that I can order the classic, US layout here ?
For the K310 washable keyboard that I ordered, I had the option to chose that layout…
Please help me out.
Thank you,
Mihai
Hi Mihai, thanks for your interest in the K810 keyboard. Our support team will be able to help you out regarding getting the layout that you want. The numbers for support in Switzerland are:
Deutsch: +41 (0) 22 761 40 12
Français: +41 (0) 22 761 40 16
Italiano: +41 (0) 22 761 40 20
Hi,
I just called there and found out that the US international versions are not available for Switzerland keyboards.
This leaves me to wonder why 1 week ago I was able to order the K310 washable keyboard with an US International layout and now the same part number appears under Dutch layout while the US int has disappeared from the list of choices.
I’m confused and don’t know what to understand of this (will I need to ask someone in the USA to mail me a keyboard even if 2 weeks ago ordering one was possible ?)
Regards,
Mihai
We are looking into this and will get back to you shortly.
When is K810 keyboard going to be available in the uk, I have pre ordered one and was told it was going to be released in November, It is now 6th December.!
Can someone tell me why it has been delayed and when it is likely to be released I the UK.
Thanks!
Hi Peter, we are currently looking into this and will let you know as soon as we can. In the meantime, we invite you to reach out to the Online Support Team at +44 (0)203 024 81 60 to talk directly with a representative regarding this.
Hello
Nice keyboard, but is there a way to use on mac osx with a correct mapping of keys ?
Thanks
Hi Arnaud, We suggest you visit our community forum to see what our customers who have used the product have to say. Here is the link to our forum: http://forums.logitech.com
The keyboard is awesome, but I’d love to see a version of this with (white) Mac keys. I also don’t really mind a cable, so USB would be cool too. What I basically want is Apple’s aluminum keyboard with backlight. If Logitech manufactured such a keyboard, I’m sure you’d sell bucketloads to the Mac community.
We really appreciate your suggestion. We encourage you to keep a look out for any such updates and thank you for being a fan.
After waiting and age for my keyboard to arrive it did today! On the outside of the box is a picture of the UK version with the pound sign and the @ sign in the right place.
Was not best please to discover on opening the box that the keyboard inside is a US version with the pound sign missing and @ where ” should be.
Nice one Logitech!
Also, there are rather sharp scratchy bits on both sides of the keyboard where the different materials meet. Does not feel like an £89 keyboard.
So wrong keys and poor finish.
We apologize for this inconvenience, Ian. Please reach out to our Sales Team at +44 (0)203 024 81 60 to discuss this with a representative directly to help resolve this matter.
Got K810 keyboard. It is advertised as comparable with Android 3, but won’t connect to my HTC Flyer running Android 3.
Hi Peter, please contact our tech support team at +1 646-454-3200 and they will be able to assist you.
I use a manual for comparison shopping. How come no manual for this keyboard? I am also surprised how difficult it has been to find dimensions. Size matters ! ;>
Hi Debbi, you can find online documentation for this keyboard here: http://www.logitech.com/assets/46511/bluetooth-illuminated-keyboard-k810.pdf
The dimensions are (L x W x H) 290 mm x 128 mm x 14 mm and it weighs 338 g. Hope this helps!
As per my post above I got my keyboard directly from Logitech but instead of the UK version that it was supposed to be it was with different keys (no pound sign, @ in wrong place, etc). Have talked to Customer |support who have no idea when stock of UK version will be in which is a bit poor considering they manufacture it!
So I bought a replacement from a well-known UK PC store which arrived today. Guess what? That was also the wrong keyboard in the wrong box! Item has now been removed from the store’s website.
So 100% fail all round and no word of explanation or date for re-release. Not impressed at all.
We apologize for this, Ian. We invite you to open a case with us. A case can be opened here: http://www.logitech.com/support. Please provide your case number, email, and region so we can pass that along to our team.
This is awesome!
BUT, without a mouse that couples with the keyboard, or a USB port to hook a wired mouse to the keyboard, the key feture (i.e. switching between devices) gets kind of semi-useless. Especially when the devices are hooked up to external screen/s.
We’re glad you like it! And thank you for your suggestion about a mouse, we will pass it on to our team.
Hi,
Many thanks but the simple fact is that there is no UK version and there will not be one for the foreseeable future. I opened a case all they can tell me is that they will send me a replacement when the UK version is available but there have absolutely no idea when that may be.
Would you be able to make enquiries and see if you can find out anything more? I find it hard to believe that no-one in Logitech knows when their own product will be available.
Many thanks,
Hi Ian. We understand your frustration and do apologize again for the issue. Providing us with your case number, email, and region is the best avenue to try and resolve the particular situation you’re having. Once equipped with that information, we will escalate your case and have someone from customer care reach out to you to help.
I’ve been using this keyboard for about 5 days. I was at first worried about it being so small, because I returned the Apple bluetooth keyboard after only 2 days because of its size. But honestly, it feels like a full size keyboard under my fingers. I love the seamless switching between devices, it works exactly as advertised. I’m using it with Windows 8 and the Touchpad T650 and I have never, ever been so thrilled about a computing setup. My only beef, and maybe it isn’t one if there is an answer: Where is the Home/End/PgUp/PgDwn buttons? Are there shortcuts? I use Home often and I don’t like having to reach over to my laptop to use it. (Please email me at the address I provided.)
Hi there, Brody. We appreciate the kind words and are so happy you’re enjoying the K810! We don’t email customers who have questions directly, but you can find the answer to your question here: http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/37959/~/functions-for-keys-not-on-the-k810-keyboard. Let us know if you need anything else!
Hi,
My case number is 121207-000951 and I am in the UK.
I look forward to hearing from someone.
Many thanks.
We’ve submitted your case and our team will look into this! You will be hearing from them. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. We look forward to resolving this.
I’ve been browsing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me.
Personally, if all web owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will
be much more useful than ever before.|
I couldn’t resist commenting. Well written!|
This is exactly along the same lines as my blog
My brother suggested I might like this web site. He was totally right.
This submit actually made my day. You cann’t consider simply how much time I had spent for this info! Thanks!
I would buy this keyboard immediately if there was a numpad on it.
We appreciate your feedback, and will pass this along to our team.
Any update on when the UK version will be in stock? Like Ian, I also received a non-UK version in a UK box, ordered direct from Logitech. I’ve returned it and have been told that a replacement will be sent when in stock, but I’ve been given no indication of when this will be. It is very frustrating as it is a great keyboard and just what I’ve been looking for.
We apologize for the inconvenience! Please contact a sales team member directly, for the most up to date information at +44 (0)203 024 81 60.
I just bought and am typing this on my laptop with my new k810. So far i really am enjoying the look and feel of it. Although i am having a problem with it and am hoping it is just user error.
When i pair the 810 and my tablet running Android 4.0 it doesn’t seem to act correct. I cant get it to type text of any kind. I have changed the configuration in the languages and input settings of my tablet and no luck. Most all the function keys work correct, but i can’t get it to type alpha numerical.
All i can get it to do is shortcut keys.
P = player
E = email
A = calculator
L = calendar
B = Browser
Thanks in adavance.
Hi Jeremy, we’re sorry about this! What region are you located? We’d like to get you in touch with our Support Team.
United States
Thank you for that information, Jeremy. Please contact our Support Team at +1 646-454-3200 to discuss this with a representative to help resolve this. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
Just have contact with support team. I have problem with my K810 nordic keyboard.
Using on my Ipad 2. and 3. generation and samsung galaxy S2.
The keys do not match the output. I cant type @ on the android with any combination an the the @ do not exsist on the key “2” where it is printed. I cant find it in any combination.
The support team told med that it is IOS problem. But i cant understand that the keyboard is promoted to IOS if the characters do not fit.
I chosed this keyboard because i only wanted 1 keybord for my devices. But now i realised that the keys do not match the output.
Hi there. We suggest you visit our community forum at http://forums.logitech.com/ and see if you can arrive at an answer. Our customers are a great resource. Let us know how that goes.
Hi,
Me again. Sill no word of when stock of the UK keyboard will arrive. Just for your records here is my experience with trying to get hold of the K810 so far:
1) I ordered the keyboard on 27/10 and was told it would ship first week of November.
2) Then it was delayed until the second week of December.
3) It arrived but was the wrong version (not UK as ordered).
4) I contact you for a replacement but it is now out of stock.
5) No-one has any idea when it will be in stock.
As compensation for this farce I have been offered a 50% discount code for Logitech products (which excludes anything released in last 6 months!). I have to say that this is not really anywhere near adequate for all the hassle and annoyance trying to buy this keyboard has entailed.
I think the worst of it all is that I now have no real confidence in Logitech or their products. They can’t even get their manufacturers to make the right keyboard. Then there appears to be no stock checking/quality control at all. How else could they have sent out 1000s of UK keyboards to people like me and shops like PC World without realising they were USA versions with different keys?
Hi,
Thinking about Flemming’s problem do you think he may have been sent the wrong keyboard like I was? Maybe the problem wasn’t just with UK keyboards. I suggest he looks at the picture printed on the box cover and compares it to the keyboard itself. In my case they were different with different keys (such as @ and “) in the wrong place.
Cheers,
Ian
Hi,
Why didn’t you post my earlier message? The one where I detailed the appalling catalogue of errors that I have experienced? You have my e-mail address so you can just get in touch if you don’t want to put my posts on your blog.
It’s pretty bad that I explained exactly what I have experienced in very polite language and said nothing defamatory or offensive but you didn’t want anyone to read it?
Are you afraid that if people see what a poor experience I have had they will be put off buying your products?
Nothing like a bit of corporate censorship! Perhaps I should go and start my own Logitech K810 blog?
Many thanks.
LOVE IT!! Picked it up a few days ago and I have to say this keyboard is awesome. I’m able to sit here with one keyboard and easily and quickly switch the keyboard to any one of my three workstations here in front of me. Back light magically turns on when my hands get near it. It’s great. Only a couple days in but I’m very happy with this device.
We’re really glad to hear that Geordie!
