2012 GOOD DESIGN Awards Honor Four Logitech Products

2013 is off to a great start for Logitech. The 2012 GOOD DESIGN™ Awards have been announced, and they honored four Logitech products– the Logitech Wireless Combo MK240, Logitech UE Mobile Boombox, Logitech Touch Mouse T620 and Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover – for excellence in new product design. These devices join the ranks of the Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930 and Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 for Mac, which were honored last year.

Regarded as one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious global awards for new product design and graphics, the GOOD DESIGN Award is presented annually by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

They received several thousand submissions for consideration – across categories including design and innovation, sustainability, creativity, branding, ecologically responsible design, human factors, materials, technology, graphic arts, packaging, and universal design – and ultimately selected 700 product designs and graphics from 38 countries as this year’s honorees.

Out of 50 companies in the electronics category, Logitech was the only company to win for PC keyboards, and won the most awards for mice in the electronics category with two wins. Additionally, Logitech is the only company to win for a tablet keyboard/cover in the electronics category.

We’re excited see what else 2013 holds for Logitech and hope you are too. What types of design elements do you like to see in your devices?  Sleek? Solar? Multifunctional? Let us know in the comments!
