The ‘Logitech Coffice’

On Sept. 12, we invited media to experience the ‘Logitech Coffice’ (a combination of the words coffee and office) to celebrate the recent launch of Logitech’s tablet accessories in the Australian market. Building on the recent coffice trend whereby more business professionals and working parents are using cafés as their own personal offices, we wanted to demonstrate how media and bloggers could make the most of their tablet on-the-go.

Hosted by Sony Wahib, Cluster Marketing Manager ANZ, we held three intimate sessions targeting tech media, mommy bloggers and lifestyle media, showcasing the new Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K760 and the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover. John Paterson, Cluster Marketing Manager ANZ, also introduced media to the upcoming Australian launch of Logitech UE by showcasing the UE Air Speaker.

Held at the popular café, The Grounds of Alexandria in Sydney, media were briefed on the new tablet accessories and their key functions, and were also invited to trial the products with iPads provided.

Bringing to life the global positioning, Goes where you go, does what you do, we showcased the quality of the tablet range to influential media, including The Australian, AskMen, Gadget Guy, AU Review, mecho, Daily Telegraph online, Dynamic Business and Australia’s youngest tech journalist Nathan Feiglin. The journalists were particularly interested in the portability of the products while the mommy bloggers loved the eco-friendly aspect of the K760 Solar Keyboard. All media were exceptionally pleased with the event location and the casual atmosphere it provided.

During the last session of the day, we invited consumers to trial the tablet products, demonstrating how their use can make working in a café more efficient.

Following on from the success of the media launch, we have now approached a number of popular, WI-FI enabled cafés in Sydney to set up a ‘Logitech library’ allowing customers to borrow the Solar Keyboard K760 and the Ultrathin Keyboard Cover – perfect for those on the go, who would like an enhanced tablet experience while enjoying their coffee. The first café confirmed is popular Redfern café, The Fern.
