Logitech in the News

There was a lot of buzz this week about the integration of Skype into Logitech Lifesize video conferencing. As part of the Plugged into Skype program, LifeSize Passport is now qualified to enable Skype video calling. Customers can now connect over high quality, reliable video from any LifeSize Passport to any Skype-enabled PC. It’s exciting to make significant progress in the trend for increased video conferencing, that as eweek.com points out is “driven by a desire among enterprises to increase productivity and communication with employees.” In their coverage of the Lifesize and Skype partnership, Ubergizmo states that “we can only hope that one day, video calls will be as interoperable as regular phone calls over different carriers. This is yet another step in that direction.”

Elsewhere in the news, great reviews of the Logitech Keyboard Case for iPad 2 are popping up across the web. According to Gizmodo Australia the Logitech iPad 2 case “makes functional as well as aesthetic sense for every iPad user who has ever taken an iPad to a meeting with every intention of taking notes.” Digitaltrends.com notes that “combin(ing) the keyboard and case into one sleek aluminum attachment” allows for the convenience of a bluetooth keyboard without the hassle of “lugging one around.” We’re glad to see such positive reaction for a product aimed at making the iPad 2 user experience easier and more efficient!
