Video: Up Close with the Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930

The Wireless Gaming Headset G930 delivers an amazing surround sound gaming experience. With 7.1 Dolby surround sound, the headset creates a detailed, positional soundfield so you can really immerse yourself in the game.

The headset features gaming-grade wireless technology that delivers two-way, uncompressed audio streaming with a range of up to 40 feet. The headset has a 10 hour battery life, and is rechargeable even while you continue to play.

There are three programmable G-keys that let you control everything from chat clients to voice morphing right from the headset, and there’s a noise-canceling microphone that keeps your voice loud and clear…

It’s also incredibly comfortable to wear – it’s 20% lighter than our Logitech G35 Surround Sound Headset, the headband is lined with memory-foam, and the ear pads cushion your ears and seal out unwanted noise.

  • This looks awesome! I wanted to previous gen wireless headset but I was turned off by the reviews and lack of features. This new product addresses all of my concerns and when you talk about voice morphing software I giggle a bit thinking about the fun that could be had in gchat. I’m really looking forward to buying one, great work!

  • Chat Clients (specifically, Ventrilo) Do NOT Work Using The G930’s G-Keys.
This Should Brought The Attention To Future Buyers, And The Logitech Company In General.
    Thank You

    • Hi Brant,

Flagship released v3.07 of Ventrilo on November 26. When combined with the latest version of G930 software on our website, the G930’s G-keys are correctly supported in Ventrilo.

  • Chris stated that the new driver works with Ventrilo. They do not.

If you want a PTT you have to set it to a key on another device. Got the headset about a week ago, have the latest drivers and latest Ventrilo client, no go on the PTT gkey function. Luckily I run the PTT on my Razer lachesis. Tried out shutting down the PTT in Ventrillo and went with using the mic mute on the headset, but it ended up running people out of vent due to a very annoying clicking it started causing while muted. So just set it to PTT with key on your keyboard/mouse/other device.

Other than the falure to work with ventrilo, it’s a great headset. I absolutly love mine. Sound quality is great, the 7.1 I think sounds better than the stereo out of them. They are very light. I have worn them for up to 8.5 hrs with no complaints on weight or comfort. No problems with sound dropping out. Takes an average of about 2.5-3hrs to do a full charge.

    • Hi Jamie,

I just tested it again. With the latest version of Logitech’s G930 software and Ventrilo v3.07, if you set a G-key in the headset software to enable PTT and enable PTT mode in Ventrilo, it should work for you as well.

  • just got this headset and it is awesome for my computer gaming but is there any way to get it to work on my ps3 or 360?

    • Hi Brandon,

The G930 is PC-only. PS3 and Xbox 360 do not have the ability to work with USB headsets for game audio.

  • Just bought these and I still can’t figure out how to get PPT using the gkey. Tried downloading newest client of ventrilo and driver to the g930 no luck.

    • Hi Quoc,

To enable PTT in Ventrilo you must use the most current version of both Ventrilo and G930 software. Once you enable PTT in Ventrilo and assign a G-key in the G930 software to Ventrilo PTT, it should work. You don’t have to assign the G-key in Ventrilo – it works automatically.
