San Francisco’s (Not-So) Top Chef Challenge!

I’m ashamed to admit it, but I love cooking shows such as Top Chef, Iron Chef, and yes, even Masterchef. Watching Gordon Ramsay is my guilty pleasure! So I thought, what better way to celebrate my 24th birthday in style than to hold our very own (Not-So) Top Chef Competition at the SF Loft?

The Challenge: As you see above, the 12 “chef” participants were split up into two teams, red and blue, and were tasked with taking a look at the available, pre-purchased ingredients, and looking up recipes together on the Logitech Revue.

They were then given 90 minutes to complete their dishes, and their cooking was evaluated by a team of three esteemed judges! Originally asked to provide one main dish and one side dish, each team actually made five, including dessert, so there was plenty of food for all twenty-five or so guests to eat before the end of the night. Here’s a clip from the live stream as we infiltrated the kitchen:

The food was astoundingly good and everyone had a great time, including those from our live Ustream audience as we filmed from our C910! I hope you enjoy the video highlights within this post and keep your eyes peeled for some chef-worthy bonus content in the near future.

Pro tip: With 12 chefs cooking haphazardly for 25 people, you are going to have a LOT to clean up! 🙂
