The Coolest of the Cool Tech Moms Rock the Logitech Loft NYC

Who would have thought that the most exciting evening at the Logitech loft to date would have been the Cool Mom Tech party??? These mommy bloggers rocked a stellar event! From the creative cocktail mixologist with the greatest recipes, to the generous gift bags, having a great night was not difficult. The turnout was impressive and the place was alive. Couple all of these great details with gaining knowledge of a professional working Mom’s take on the Logitech Revue box, and you have a good idea of how valuable the night was.

Check out my quick video leading you into the grand room of the loft during the mixer. Please pardon the rather dark lighting; it was due to glamorous dim ambiance of the loft…Still, not bad, eh?

So let’s get right back to the questions and perspectives of strong American women, shall we? Here are a few of the top questions/comments these lovely ladies had for me, and the replies I provided to the best of my ability…I thought you may have similar inquiries at home:

Q: Be honest, just how easy is this Revue box to set up?
A: EFFORTLESS! I promise! I know how annoying endless wiring, foreign and in depth set-up instructions and trouble-shooting for hours can be. This is not that at all. This cute little Revue box (much smaller than it appears in promotional photos) has a very simple set-up process: purchase, remove from packaging, and plug it in. Your pre-existing TV set, cable or satellite set-top box and your basic internet connection plug right into the back of the Revue box, and you are good to go. Just be certain your TV has an HDMI port and you are 100% set. That’s it. No, really. That is it.

Q: This seems to offer a full web integration. What about parental controls and setting limits to protect the youth in the home from surfing inappropriate content?
A: Logitech was thinking. There are excellent parental control features that are also very user friendly to manage, alter, lock and monitor. These features are called safe search and Google Chrome lock–both are available within the Revue Settings. You can enable these features quite easily.

Q: I love the HD TV Cam demo and the ability to sit in the comfort of our living room and call friends and family from all over. Does the caller on the receiving end have to also have a Logitech Revue and TV cam to see and speak to us?
A: Not necessarily. While this would indeed enhance their experience as well, it is not vital to the video calling feature via Logitech Revue with Google TV. As long as the caller on the receiving end has a laptop, computer or TV equipped with a webcam of any make to send and receive feed, they can engage in a call with you. They simply download and sign up for free Logitech Vid HD calling capability and both parties are ready to connect.

So there you have it. If you have any questions or comments in addition to those addressed above, feel free to post them here. I will respond at my earliest and do my level best to help you on your way to owning your very own Logitech Revue with Google TV. My only personal gripe is that this tech invention did not happen sooner! It is love at first sight, you’ll see…

Thanks so much for being an incredible hostess, Praneet, and letting us take over your “home” for the evening. We had a phenomenal time and were so excited to get to share all the amazing things Logitech is doing with our friends and colleagues.
