Ultimate Ears at National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM)

The Ultimate Ears team just returned from the Summer NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) trade show in Nashville, Tennessee (U.S.A.). Nashville is a small but vibrant city pulsating with musical talent and is the home to the Grand Ole Opry and bluegrass music. The main drag is filled with honky-tonks, southern cooking and lots of BBQ! Also, the famous Gruhn Guitars shop is there — you never know who you’ll see buying a new guitar for their next tour.

Ultimate Ears was definitely busy throughout the entire trade show. Our audiologist from Vanderbilt University took a record number of ear impressions for our company and we enjoyed a number of great conversations with people in the music business.
We also made some time for fun. The first night, we had dinner with most of the road staff from Rascal Flatts – what a fun group of guys! We also saw Chris Tuttle, a current client and keyboardist for Jewel, while grabbing coffee en route to the show. And we went to dinner with a couple of emerging artists, enjoyed some live music and saw Carrie Underwood eating just four tables over. Finished the week listening to Billy Reasons, a country music artist and UE custom monitor fan, at the Cadillac Ranch. He went out of his way to thank UE for our support and great products.

Good music, good BBQ and great business – what a week!
