Logitech in the News

Filed: Gaming, Keyboards, Product

It’s been a great week in the news for Logitech gaming! Some highlights include The New York Times’ review of the G19 gaming keyboard, which will “aid you in your online quests.” Chicago Tribune’s Eric 2.0 blog included Logitech’s wireless guitar controller in their “4 game system add-ons that really add” post.

And for our Japanese readers, this 4Gamer.net article by Zenji Nishikawa gives an overview of how to use our gaming software and Logitech profiler, offering instructions on how to assign the buttons on our gaming keyboards and mice.

Can you tell me when the Logitech G35 7.1 headset will be released in the United Kingdom?

Hi,

Please reference the G35 blog post. Ruben Mookerjee has provided the release dates for several countries (including the UK) in the comment section of the post.

All the best, Kate

The G19 keyboard looks so sexy! :) Still not convinced yet though on how useful the Keyboard’s LCD screen is. I mean, I can always watch youtube or videos on my LCD monitor screen instead

Hi Kate,

Since you are blogging “Logitech in the News”, I figure it may be more helpful if I ask you here directly. Hopefully you won’t censor my post. I’ve been a loyal Logitech consumer for quite some time (MX-500, MX500, LX-8, LX7 are the recent mice I’ve purchased). While I love the mice, I do not like the package that the mice came in. My last purchase of 2 LX-8 Mice made me wonder why it require Logitech to package a mouse in a box that’s about 6 times bigger. We are living in an era where we are finally realizing it’s time to reduce, recycle. I hope Logitech can do the same.

ps. I’ve emailed Logitech customer service in december regarding this issue. I have not seen any improvement on the package yet. Thank You.

Hi Hao,

Thank you for taking the time to submit your comments about our packaging. I spoke with our packaging team and they assured me that we are constantly looking at ways to reduce waste. In fact, many of our products coming out this year will take advantage of a smaller overall package size, so be on the lookout.

All the best,
Kate

Why in the world would anyone put the on/off switch under the keyboard? Dumb move.

Hi I am a longtime loyal Logitech user and I am chomping at the bit for the G19 I have even preordered it through Amazon. Can you gives us an update on when it is coming out. Everything I have been able to find says March but March has come and gone. So any info on an updated release date would be awesome.

Thanks
Dave

Its call theft prevention it takes a thief time to get the mouse out of the box, hopefully enough time for security to catch them or stop them. Plus the next big thing product placement, on a shelf you will not notice a mouse with cable wrapped around back in a blister pack…It would be different if they only sold their mice via the web then they could shove the things in white boxes….
