Day 15: Billie Is Discovered and Returned to Logitech

After a whirlwind two weeks traveling the globe, a lost Billie was finally discovered and returned to Logitech. He is now on a plane home so he can be reunited with his owner, Jerry Quindlen, CEO of Logitech.

To help with our efforts to find Billie, our office in Switzerland organized a contest offering 5000 CHF and 500 CHF worth of Logitech products to the Swiss resident who found Billie at the Media Markt in Crissier, just 20 kilometers from the little farm in the village of Apples where Logitech was founded in 1981. We are very grateful to Mr. Antonio Pé-Curto from Prilly in the canton of Vaud for helping us find Billie! Mr. Pé-Curto said, “I’m very happy; I thought this kind of thing always happened to someone else!” He’ll be choosing the Logitech products this afternoon with his son at Media Markt.

Present at the prize-giving were Antoine Preisig, vice president sales and marketing for Logitech EMEA, Gabriele Valsecchi, country manager for Logitech Suisse, Guido Renggli, CEO Media Markt en Suisse, Thierry Desponds, director Media Markt Crissier and Walter Strauch, IT team leader Media Markt Crissier.

Our final question for our online contest is posted below. Good luck!

Q: On average, how many mice does Logitech manufacture each day? If Logitech were to continue to manufacture mice at that rate, in what year would the company reach its 2 billionth mouse milestone?

The grand prize for today’s question is: A collection of Logitech products with a total value of approximately $1000 USD.

The answer to yesterday’s question (Who are Logitech’s founders?) is: Daniel Borel, Pierluigi Zappacosta and Giacomo Marini

Congratulations to the winner for yesterday’s question: prplrush
